What makes you happy? What does happy mean anyway? What does it mean to you??

The thing is, it is different for everyone. Each of us are unique, and because we are unique everyone will have a different view on what happy is. It has been described as a "squish" - where everything is perfect and time stands still. Or it's described as a 'flow', where you are so absorbed in whatever you are doing, time flies past and you don't notice. Or, it can be in the moment, where everything is possible and perfect for you.

Everything starts with a Mind Set!

Have you ever agreed to do something, and them found it really hard to follow through and get it done? Or have you found yourself setting a goal, such as losing weight or drinking less, managing a few days, then at the first sign of stress you have opened a bottle of wine and settled down with a glass or two and some chocolate?

You are not alone! Sometimes will-power on its own isn't enough, and we need to change something within us to help stop those deep rooted actions that ruin all the hard work. Coaching can help!

Supported by a coach, in a safe and comfortable place, you can start to explore how to fix things. The process starts with setting a goal, then we look at what is happening and how the problems manifest. We look at some of the reasons why this could be happening, how you feel, what is getting in your way, what would be the consequences of doing nothing and what actions you could take. As this is your solution, you decide what you want to do and when you are going to do it.

Coaching is a deeply emotional process, focused on future actions, and it can be quite intense at times. My role as a coach is to support you through the range of emotions, in a non-judgemental and compassionate way, as you allow yourself to see different perspectives and unfortunate truths. The process will allow you to try out different ideas and tactics to solve your problems, and test your commitment to make the changes you decide on.

What do you really want? What do you want to achieve in your life? What are your goals?

Some people are fortunate enough to know from a young age what they really want, and through a combination of desire, hard work, support and determination those dreams become a reality, and they are leading a life that they ❤️

For many others, the question of what you want to do when you grow up takes a bit longer! Some people never work it out, which is such a waste! Such a waste of all that magical human intellect and energy, and that spark that makes the most unlikely become a huge success.

That is where personal coaching can help. I believe that everyone has the ability to decide what is right for them, and with support, reaching goals can become a reality! Using a variety of questions, techniques and supportive challenge in a safe and comfortable space, it is possible to reach into the subconscious and allow your inner self to emerge and help you to define and achieve your dreams.

Insights can help with some of those difficult 'head or heart ' decisions in your life. These are the ones where you decide on a course of action, and everyone around you is advising the opposite. Or, your heart is telling you one thing, and your head another. This can leave you feeling exhausted, irritated, angry or frustrated and sometimes a bit scared. Where do you turn? Welcome to Insights.

insights has come about because I am a qualified coach, with a passion for helping people reach their potential, and I believe that I can help anyone with a problem if they are willing to trust the process. My philosophy is pretty simple - my job as a coach is to be an active observer in the process of individuals taking control of their situations and challenges. The coaching process is a meeting of two equals, without one, the other can't be effective.

This happens in various ways - mainly asking questions that go deeper than normal conversation, challenging assumptions and helping to create solutions that meet the specific needs of my clients. This is a completely confidential process, carried out in a safe environment without judgement or advice being given. This is not the same as counselling - coaching is a completely future focused process, with clear outcomes and benefits.
