As another fantastic year comes to an end at Woodlands Primary Academy, we'd like to thank our wonderful pupils, staff, parents, carers, and school community for making it so special.

To our amazing Year 6s, we're so proud of you and wish you every success in your next adventure.

Following an exciting vote, our children have chosen brand-new mythical creature names for our house teams! We are delighted to reveal our new teams:
🔴 Rowan will be…🐦‍🔥Phoenix
🔵 Poplar will be… 🌊Kraken
🟡 Willow will be… 🦅Griffin
🟢 Maple will be… 🐉Dragon
This is just the beginning! We're looking forward to introducing lots of exciting opportunities, events and competitions next year, helping our house teams earn points, work together and show their team spirit. So watch this space…exciting things are on the way! ✨

Our Young Carers in Years 1–4 had a fantastic time celebrating Young Carers Day at Ormiston Venture Academy! From glow dodgeball and inflatables to circus skills, arts and crafts, meeting owls, and cooling off with ice-pops, it was a day full of fun, laughter, and wonderful memories. 💙

A young carer is a child who helps care for a family member with an illness, disability, mental health need, or additional support needs.

If you think your child may be a young carer, please contact Mrs Evans. We’re here to ensure they receive the support and opportunities they deserve while recognising the amazing role they play every day. 💛

As part of World Book Day and Careers Week, our Year 1 children wrote to Julia Donaldson with lots of questions. They were delighted to receive a personal reply, along with some lovely stickers!

✈️ Last week, Year 2 took off on an exciting Flight adventure as Woodlands Bradwell Airport! ✈️

The children had a fantastic time dressing up as pilots, cabin crew, engineers and aviation pioneers, before enjoying an amazing interactive online workshop with the RAF Museum. They explored the world of flight, learned lots of fascinating facts and had a brilliant time throughout the experience.

Well done, Year 2, for your enthusiasm and fantastic participation! 🌟
