Students collecting GCSE results will be directed to the Sixth Form or Careers Team in the Main Hall before leaving site to confirm their next steps – Sixth Form, College, Employment or Apprenticeship.

Any students that have applied for Hanson Sixth Form will confirm their option choices following collection of their results and will receive information about their first day Wednesday 2nd September 2026. Any conditional offers will also be confirmed on GCSE results day. Please note Sixth Form lanyard photographs will be taken following Sixth Form interviews (Thursday 20th August 2026).

If you cannot collect your results in person, you can nominate someone to collect them on your behalf. You must provide the name of the nominated person/s either in writing or by email to Mrs Jennifer Conroy [email protected] by Wednesday 12th August 2026. The email must be sent from the student’s personal email not a parent or friend’s email. The representative will need to provide I.D. Results will not be released to anyone other than the student without prior written permission from the student. Information about the appeals process can be found on our website. VI students Goalball Event - Goalball was a real success! We started with a warm up to activate our muscles and then learnt the fundamentals of the Goalball techniques. After a positive start, we started with the first round of a Goalball match. We then had a well-deserved lunch and went back into more advanced techniques. We then played another round of Goalball with our increased knowledge and got to individually practise taking a shot with the support of the coach. We ended the session talking about what we learnt exactly and thanked the coach for a spectacular day.

The last pop up uniform shop at Hanson is this Friday 21st August.

Week 4 of HAF completed-Student had visited Buckden House and completed activities in Hiking, Ghyll Scrambling and Caving. Students had also completed session in cooking making some beautiful brownies, pizzas, cookies and pasta.

The next Pop Up Uniform shop will take place on Friday 21st August.

A Level and Level 3 Results - Year 13 Thursday 13th August 2026
• All students can obtain grades from 8am to 12 noon from the library.
Students collecting GCE results will be directed to the Sixth Form or Careers Team in the library before leaving
site. Our Team will also be available to support students with UCAS and University applications.

Week 3 of Hanson HAF camp. Students had completed a session at Teamsports Go Karting in Sheffield, took part in archery and paddle boarding as well as cooking sessions making cheese and onion pasties, sausage rolls and brookies.
