Another fun-filled day has been had, this time at Nell Bank Outdoor Education Centre, Ilkley. Our families enjoyed all the bird-themed activities on offer as part of the programme and loved being able to spend the day together exploring everything Nell Bank has to offer. Huge thanks to everyone involved in making the day such a success! .

School might be closed for the holidays but that doesn’t stop us from supporting and enabling our community to enjoy making memories….. 🏖️

Our families had a fabulous day trip to Blackpool! They enjoyed the sea and sand despite the sun proving a little elusive. The ice creams went down a treat, as did the seaside shopping! 🍦 🛍️

Huge thanks to Travel Express coaches and the Cinderella Club and of course to the staff for helping make it all happen.

Eastwood is now closed for the summer holidays. We would like to thank our whole community and beyond for your hard work and support of our school this year. We have had a fabulously productive year and have so much to be proud of.

For now though, it’s time to rest, recharge and reconnect with loved ones. Well look forward to seeing everyone back together on Thursday 3rd September following our 2 staff training days on the 1st & 2nd.

Happy holidays everyone!

It may be nearly the end of term but that hasn’t stopped our fabulous Eco Team from litter picking around school today. They take their duties so very seriously and demonstrate our key value of so brilliantly. Thank you and well done Eco Team, you should be as of yourselves as we are of you!

A wonderful whole school outdoor award ceremony to celebrate the achievements and successes of 2026. Our special awards for bravery, thoughtfulness, kindness, consideration, perseverance and friendship are always very poignant. We are so very proud of each and every one of our pupils.

Sports day spectacular!

Whilst sports day might not have gone exactly as planned due to a last-minute change of circumstances beyond our control, it was still resounding success! Our staff ensured everything was for our keen sportspeople and their families, who came out in force to support the full day of fun in the sun. Our pupils were fabulously throughout, showing excellent teamwork, collaboration and sportsmanship and they were rightly very of themselves and their achievements. We would like to thank our whole school team for making today such a fabulous success and thank our brilliant for their support, as always.

Year 1 have had a fabulous day at Yorkshire Wildlife Park! They saw loads of animals that they had learned all about in class and loved sharing their knowledge about which were carnivores, omnivores and herbivores with everyone. The highlights were the giraffes, tigers and polar bears but there were so many other animals to see and everyone had their favourites. The adventure playground was pretty awesome too! It was a brilliant way to end our term’s learning all about ‘We’re Going to the Zoo’ and to end our brilliant time in year 1.
