On Tuesday, the toddlers from our caterpillar room went for a walk down to the woods. We saw the Gruffalo cave, we walked over the bridge and we saw lots and lots of dogs. We kicked the leaves and had fun throwing them at each other.

Today as we only had 3 children in our Pre-School room who were staying for lunch, we decided to go for a picnic in the woods .
We walked holding our grown ups hands and talked about being safe when outside and crossing the road.
We walked through the woods looking and listening. We saw lots of squirrels and some people walking there dogs.
Then we found a nice bench to sit on to eat our lunches.
It was nice and peaceful and we could hear birds and aeroplanes whilst we were eating.
A dog came to say hello and was sniffing our lunch boxes but we didn’t want to share .
After lunch we went for a walk and found a den made from tree branches to play in .
Finally it was time to come back to nursery because we were tired and had loads of fun

This week in our baby room we have been busy making some autumn wind chimes, they look so beautiful hung at our window. The older members of our baby room used their fine motor skills to cover the tube in glue and sequins while our younger babies explored this activity by rolling the tubes in the glue and sequins.

This afternoon we went for a walk to look for some natural objects. We spoke about road safety and enjoyed exploring the local area. We found lots of leaves and conkers, we spotted some apples and saw a lady with 2 dogs in a pram.

In the Toddler Room the children have been mark making in oats to reveal the green film underneath using paint brushes and their fingers. Making circles was a popular shape to draw. Some of the children used vehicles to make tyre marks too.

This morning in the Baby Room, we have been super busy looking after our babies. We gave them a bath, it was so much fun cleaning them and covering them in bubbles. We even used the towel to dry them when we had finished.
