Look at our new signs that have gone up today. Also the fencing and gates have been done. We are not quite finished and its all still a work in progress but we hope you like it. Our spaces are filling up so if anyone is wanting a place for September, please email [email protected]. Claire & Charlotte (the Directors) are taking a much needed break next week but will reply to any messages the week after.

If any of our current parents have not sent in their Parent Questionnaires, please can I ask that these are returned by Friday. These questionnaires allow us to evaluate our service and make necessary changes. Thank you for some of the lovely comments we have received, these have been shared with staff. I will be sharing the outcome of the questionnaire with you all next week.

Also, we are excited to say that we will be having some work start next week to improve our outdoor areas. As you will know, we have already replaced the wet pour surface around the slide. We are also replacing the gates, handrails, and the panels which are on the slope. From September we are very lucky to have a volunteer gardener who will ensure the garden areas and weeding is kept up with. We have also ordered some new up to date signs for the Nursery which should be up in the next couple of weeks. We will keep you up to date with progress.

Do any of our lovely parents know how to fix a leaking toilet or know a Plumber who will take on a small job? It’s one of our children’s toilets which keeps leaking🤦‍♀️

We have spaces in our baby room from September due to some of our Babies moving up to our two year old room. We are very busy but have a few spaces in our 2 year old room and 3 year old room. Please contact us on 01274 602457 or email [email protected] if you would like to visit the Nursery.

This is one of the hardest posts I have ever had to make. My beautiful sister and best friend Jane passed away suddenly two weeks ago.

There will be lots of people who remeber her as Janey Waney when she managed the Nursery and I know she touched so many of your lives. She was the most loving and caring person who was adored by everybody.

Most of our current staff worked with Jane and it has been a great shock to them. The support from these people has been a great comfort and I know that they will continue to make St Mary's the most loving and welcoming Nursery that it always had been, which I know would make Jane proud.

There will be a celebration of life for Jane at Park Wood Crematorium, Elland on Tuesday 16th June at 2.15. All donations will be given to East Anglian Air Ambulance who did so much to try to save her life.

We love you Janey Waney and you will always be in the hearts of everbody who has been involved at St Mary's Nursery

Today we have had a visit from our local Police. They let us wear their uniforms, play in their car and they took our fingerprints. They talked to us about what the Police do and how they keep us safe.
We were all very well behaved and so happy they came to see us. Thank you to one of our lovely parents who arranged this for us.

They have told us about an 'Emergency Services Day' which they will be at, its at Bradford Bulls, on Sunday 17th May and told us to ask our parents to take us along to.

A big thank you to the Ambulance Service who have allowed our children access to the Emergency Ambulance whilst they had time in between calls. The children have learnt so much and its definitely got them talking. The staff may have been a litte bit overexcited too and it has really made their day!
