We had a super exciting visit to Temple Newsam Farm on Thursday. We saw lots of different animals and even some new babies that had just been born! After we had finished at the farm we went for some yummy lunch and a play in the playbarn π₯°

We had a wonderful time at Mollies loft for their Jump Around session where the children were able to use their gross motor skills on the mini trampolines and bouncy castles. The children spoke freely about how much fun they had!

π³βοΈ We enjoyed a lovely trip to the park today, where the children had lots of opportunities to explore, climb, run, and play. Outdoor play helps to develop physical skills, confidence, coordination, and social interactions with friends.

π₯ Today the children practised their cutting skills using child-safe knives to prepare a variety of vegetables. We discussed the names of the vegetables, explored how they looked and smelt, and tasted them to compare flavours. This activity supported fine motor development, communication skills, and encouraged the children to explore new foods. (No food was wasted, Lisa bought it all on a yellow sticker shop the night before!) π

Messy play π¨
The children enjoyed exploring paint in different ways today, using playdough cutters and bubble paints to create colourful artwork. This activity encouraged creativity, sensory exploration, and the development of fine motor skills.

Reading books π π
We spent time exploring books today, looking closely at the pictures and discussing what might be happening in the stories. A lovely way to develop communication skills and spark curiosity.

Gs favourite place to visit, "Lisa, can we go to the driver soft play?"
Then a stop off to Asda for a trip to the cafΓ© today! The children did a fantastic job sitting beautifully at the table, chatting with friends, and using their wonderful manners. π

βοΈ Developing fine motor skills through creative cutting! Today the children explored using wavy scissors to cut paper, strengthening hand muscles, improving coordination, and creating some wonderful patterns along the way as well as learning how to use scissors safely βοΈ
