Whether he’s greeting children with a waggy tail, enjoying a well-earned snooze in Mrs Haines’ office, or accepting the occasional fuss and belly rub, Woody brings so much joy, calm and happiness to our school community every single day.

I’m not sure he’s realised it’s his birthday… but I’m fairly certain he’ll be expecting a few extra treats! 🎂🦴

And just like that, our marvellous class of 2026 have left the building!! Not many photos today - just joy, celebration, lots of love and happy tears. You have been the most beautiful class for Mrs Underwood and I to end our time at St Francis and we thank you and your families from the bottom of our hearts for the many gifts and cards, and the support we’ve had all year long. Good luck and God bless, Year 6 - the future is bright and it’s in your hands. # # #

Just one more day of primary school for our wonderful Year 6s 🥲 We’re excited to welcome Year 6 parents and families to our Leavers’ Liturgy, tomorrow at 2pm, for one last celebration and a final goodbye!

FS2 had fun in the sun for their Sports Day - lovely to share it with our friends and families.

Thank you so much to our families for braving some scorching weather to come and attend our sports days this year ☀️

The children tried so hard in their different events and it’s was a great time had by all !!!

The events couldn’t have ran successfully with our amazing active ambassadors. They did a superb job setting up our events, demonstrating and handing out the important stickers 🥇

Miss Hudson could not believe the talent especially from the year 4/5/6 events ! She has never seen such egg and spoon race skills !!!

We also appreciated all of the positive feedback on sports day this year ! It is always a huge bonus 💛

What a fantastic celebration assembly yesterday !!!

We had so many children to congratulate and celebrate for all of their hard work ⭐️⭐️⭐️

A very special award included the Alfie Joe Barraclough memorial trophy - this was for an amazing pupil who set up our calm club this year! She thought children needed a space at lunchtime to have some calm time colouring, reading or playing games and set up calm club ! Lots of our children have attended this over the year and she has had such a positive impact on our school community 🤍

Another huge shoutout to our wellbeing ambassadors who have been the first at St Francis and within our trust ! They have worked so hard to provide the children with opportunities including, Billy’s dog bus, heritage and harmony week and ran initiatives such as mental health we and kindness day 🫶

We are so proud of each and every one of our children this year for all of their hard work and determination 🏅🏅🏅

Year 5 have been busy making their buddy cards ready for their new little friends 🫶

It was a lovely reflective time where we thought about year 6 and all of our new roles and responsibilities ⭐️

Year 5 had such thoughtful ideas and comments in the cards to welcome our new children !
