Today we say goodbye to an incredible group of Year 6 children as they prepare to begin an exciting new chapter in their lives. 💙🎓

Over the years, you have grown in confidence, kindness, resilience and faith. You have embraced every opportunity, supported one another and been fantastic role models for the younger children in our school family. We are so proud of all that you have achieved, not least your outstanding SATs results, which are a reflection of your hard work, determination and perseverance.

As a Catholic school, we remember that God has a unique plan for each and every one of you. As you move on to secondary school, we pray that you continue to walk in His light, using your gifts and talents to make a positive difference wherever you go. May you always remember that you are loved by God, and that He will be with you every step of your journey.

Thank you for the memories, the laughter, the friendships and the joy you have brought to our school. Although we will miss you greatly, we know you are ready to spread your wings and shine brightly.

🎉 An Incredible Achievement – Well Done, Year 6! 🎉

We are absolutely delighted to celebrate the outstanding SATs results achieved by our amazing Year 6 pupils this year.

Every single child who sat the tests achieved the expected standard, with nearly half of the cohort achieving the greater depth standard – an exceptional accomplishment that reflects the hard work, determination and resilience shown by our pupils throughout their primary school journey.

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our Year 6 children. They approached the tests with confidence, perseverance and a positive attitude, and these fantastic results are thoroughly deserved.

A huge thank you also goes to our dedicated staff, whose commitment and support have helped every child reach their potential, and to our parents and carers for their encouragement and partnership throughout the year.

Our Year 3/4 pupils delivered a wonderful assembly on the Amazon Rainforest, sharing their learning with confidence, creativity and enthusiasm. 🌿🌎

They helped us reflect on the beauty of God’s creation and the importance of caring for our common home, linking beautifully to Catholic Social Teaching through stewardship, solidarity and respect for all people and the planet.

A huge well done to all of the children for such a thoughtful and inspiring assembly. It was a joy to see them remind us all of our responsibility to protect the world around us. 🌱✨

Our Wellbeing Warriors were recently invited to apply for a wellbeing grant from the Trust. After putting together a fantastic proposal and presenting it to Mr Hanson, they were thrilled to be awarded funding for their brilliant idea… an ice cream van to visit school! 🍦

With the soaring temperatures today, we couldn’t have picked a better time! Every child enjoyed a delicious ice cream while spending time with their new classes for September, giving everyone the chance to socialise, make new friends and get to know their new teachers in a relaxed and enjoyable way.

A huge well done to our Wellbeing Warriors for all their hard work and confidence in presenting their idea. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces enjoying a well-earned treat in the sunshine! ☀️🍦

🦒🐧🦁 Year 3/4 had a fantastic time at Yorkshire Wildlife Park yesterday!

The children enjoyed exploring the park, learning about a wide variety of amazing animals from around the world, and taking part in a memorable day of outdoor learning. Despite the soaring temperatures, everyone did a brilliant job of staying cool and hydrated throughout the day.

As part of our learning about Catholic Social Teaching, the visit helped us reflect on the importance of Stewardship of Creation in our Geography lessons. The children learned about the responsibility we all share to care for God’s wonderful world, protect wildlife, and respect the habitats that animals call home.

We were incredibly proud of the children, who were a credit to our school. Their behaviour, enthusiasm, and curiosity made the trip a huge success.

Well done, Year 3/4 – we hope you made lots of wonderful memories! 🌞🌿🐾
