I opened the café because I genuinely felt Bradford needed a place like this somewhere for families to come, and parents to have a coffee and a chat.
I opened the doors 9 months pregnant, gave birth during the renovations. It’s definitely been a journey, and I’m really proud of what we created.
Last week we celebrated our 1st birthday, and that also happened to be our final day. 🤍
The Play Café is now officially closed :( Thank you to everyone who visited us, supported us, recommended us, celebrated birthdays with us, or simply popped in for a play and a coffee.
And a special thank you to all the lovely friends I’ve made along the way. The chats, coffees and little catch ups became something I really valued, especially during my postpartum journey. You probably don’t realise how much those conversations meant to me.
As my maternity leave comes to an end, I’ll be returning to work by running the nursery from the same setting. So whilst the café is closing, the setting will continue with a new chapter just without the café.
Thank you for being part of our first year and for all the support along the way.

A huge thank you to PC Webb for coming to visit us today, he spoke to the children about how the police are here to help us, we taught the children how to call 999 if they need help or if they are lost that the police are a trusted adult, we then got to dress up in the police uniform & ride in the police van, A special well done to Mia for being extra brave today and sounding the siren 🚨
