We are delighted to celebrate Jude’s fantastic achievement at the All England Dance National Finals in Eastbourne.

Representing CC Dance Company, Jude qualified two dances for the National Finals, earning a place among the top 14 performers in the country — an incredible accomplishment in itself.
We are especially proud that Jude and his team were awarded the Runner-Up medal, finishing 2nd in the country in the Junior National Trio category.

What a wonderful achievement and a testament to Jude’s hard work, dedication, and talent.

📢 PAY AS YOU FEEL📢

Before you purchase new school uniform over the summer, we will be holding a ‘Pre-Loved Uniform Sale’ tomorrow from 10am (Tuesday 4th August).

Bring a bag as there will also be loads of books to keep your youngsters entertained over the summer holidays.

You’ll find tables under the buggy park at the front of school with an honesty box to donate. Any funds raised will go straight back into school to support our children. Thank you for your continued support!💛

🌟 That's a Wrap – Thank You for an Incredible 2025–2026 School Year! 🌟

As we reach the end of another academic year, all of the staff at Idle Primary School would like to say a heartfelt thank you to our wonderful pupils, families and the wider community.

What a journey this year has been. It has certainly brought its challenges, but throughout it all, your continued support, trust and kind words have meant so much to us. Your belief in our school and our staff has helped us move forward together, and for that we are truly grateful.

We are also delighted to have welcomed Mrs Hobson as our new Headteacher this half term. Her leadership has already brought renewed energy and direction, and we are excited about the positive changes that are already taking shape. Together, we are looking forward to building an even brighter future for Idle Primary School.

To our amazing children – thank you for your enthusiasm, resilience and the joy you bring to school every day. We are incredibly proud of everything you have achieved this year.

A special message to our wonderful Year 6 pupils…
As you leave Idle Primary School and begin your next chapter at high school, we want you to know just how proud we are of each and every one of you. Your bravery, determination and resilience in everything you have faced this year have been truly exceptional. You have grown into kind, confident and capable young people, and we have no doubt that you will continue to achieve great things.

While we'll miss seeing your smiling faces around school, we know you are more than ready for this exciting new adventure. Believe in yourselves, embrace every opportunity and never stop being the amazing individuals you are.

We wish you every success and happiness on your next educational journey. Good luck, Year 6 – we'll be cheering you on every step of the way! 💙

Congratulations to our lucky Summer Hamper Draw winner! 🥳 We hope you enjoy your fantastic summer bundle of fun and make the most of all the goodies inside!

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the draw. Your support has helped us raise valuable funds that will go towards supporting our children and staff throughout the coming year.
We truly appreciate your generosity and look forward to bringing you more exciting fundraising events soon. 💙

Today we say goodbye to three valued members of our staff, Miss Whitehead, Miss Shearn and Miss Wojtkow.

We would like to thank them all for everything they have brought to our school community. Their kindness, dedication and hard work have made a lasting impact on our pupils, colleagues and families.

Miss Shearn is beginning an exciting new chapter as she takes on a Year 5 and 6 teaching role at another school, and Miss Whitehead is heading to university to pursue her dreams. Miss Wojtkow is embarking on an exciting new venture in childcare. While we will miss them all, we are so proud of everything they have achieved and can't wait to see what the future holds for them.

As one chapter closes, another begins. Whilst we are saying goodbye to valued colleagues, we also feel incredibly fortunate to have welcomed our new Headteacher, Mrs Hobson, to Idle. In just her first half term, she has already made a huge impact through her dedication, encouragement and support for both staff and pupils. Today, she was proudly presented with our Staff Recognition Crown in recognition of the positive difference she has already made. We are excited to continue our journey together under Mrs Hobson's leadership.

From everyone at Idle, we wish Miss Whitehead, Miss Shearn and Miss Wojtkow every success, happiness and opportunity as they continue their journeys. Good luck—we know you'll all do amazing things! 💙✨

What a joy it was to see the excitement as children arrived at school this morning to discover six inflatables on the field! A huge thank you to our amazing Idle CE PTFA, who organised this wonderful surprise for all of our pupils to enjoy. What a happy and memorable end to our school year!
