We are back in the swing of our teaching weekends this September, with our 3rd years selecting textiles from the textile archive to use as a starting point for research, weave and print! We will be at during Threads tomorrow running our stall, come say hello. See some students work spanning over the 4 years and talk to us if you are interested in joining our FDA.

During the weekend our BA Students are having a pop-up exhibition in the 1912 building on site. Get a taste for the BA's work and varied textile practices before the final degree show. This will be from 16th to the 17th alongside Threads.

The final piece from our ‘Wool Stories’ exhibition is a Fire Guard created for Bhumi.

This piece references the inherent flame retardant properties of wool and features Vajrapāņi (literally meaning ‘holder of the thunderbolt’). He is represented as a protective deity with flames around him.
