Little Bluebells Day Nursery

What a busy day we’ve had at Little Bluebells! 💙

🍎 First up, our little chefs got busy making apple crumble for pudding! After washing our hands and getting ready to bake the children helped to peel and chop the apples, count out the ingredients and get their hands stuck in making the crumble topping. There was lots of turn-taking, teamwork and brilliant descriptive language along the way and of course, the best part was getting to enjoy it for pudding! 👩‍🍳🥣

🚗 Our babies enjoyed exploring different vehicles today, discovering different colours and textures, moving the cars around their play space and having a go at vehicle jigsaws. Lots of lovely imaginative play and new words and sounds too! 🚙✈️🚌

🚶‍♀️ And finally, we finished the day with some balancing fun! The children helped create their own indoor obstacle course using blocks, bricks and balancing beams before taking turns to make their way around. It was lovely to see everyone cheering each other on and growing in confidence with every go! 👏

A lovely day of cooking, exploring, moving and learning through play! 💙

🌿 Toddler Room Places Available for September 2026 🌿

We are now welcoming enquiries for our Toddler Room for children aged 2–3 years at Little Bluebells Day Nursery, Low Moor.

We are a private day nursery with a team of long-standing, experienced staff who provide a warm, caring and nurturing environment where children can feel safe, settled and confident.

Our Toddler Room supports children as they develop their independence, communication and social skills through:

✨ Child-led learning and purposeful play
✨ Fun indoor and outdoor activities
✨ Support with confidence, speech and independence
✨ Caring, consistent staff who get to know each child
✨ A safe and stimulating environment
✨ Support with routines, transitions and toilet training when appropriate

We are open Monday to Friday, 7:30am–5:30pm and offer both all-year-round and term-time-only places.

Government-funded childcare can be used with us, subject to eligibility and a valid funding code. Funded hours may also be stretched across the year, depending on the sessions required.

We are proud to be rated Good by Ofsted and would love to welcome new families to our nursery community.

We’ve had another lovely week at Little Bluebells Day Nursery, packed with fun, learning, and plenty of smiles 💙💛😊

The children have been busy getting creative with arts and crafts, exploring colours, textures, and letting their imaginations run wild 🎨 From painting and sticking to building and making, there’s been lots of proud moments to celebrate.

Outdoor play has been a big highlight too, with plenty of fresh air and energy used up on the playground 🛝💙 Whether it’s running, climbing, or exploring, the children have loved making the most of the space and enjoying the brighter weather. Keep an eye out as well… we’ve got some planting activities coming soon 🌱💛

We’ve also spent time focusing on early learning skills, including counting, recognising shapes, and developing communication through stories and group activities 📚💛 It’s been great to see confidence growing and friendships strengthening.

Of course, there’s been lots of laughter along the way, with music, dancing, and imaginative play bringing the rooms to life 🎶💙

A fantastic week all round, we’re already looking forward to what next week brings! 💛💙

Just a quick reminder that we will be closed for the Easter Bank Holiday from 5:30pm today (Thursday 2nd April) 🕠
