Subhanallah an appreciation from a student not that we are in any position of deserving such title however we must still praise Allah swt for the blessings by saying هذا من فضل ربي - ‘Surely this is a blessing from my Lord’
Teaching is not just a profession; it is a noble calling that holds significant importance in shaping the future of society. In Islam, the role of a teacher is highly revered, as education is considered a fundamental aspect of personal and societal growth.
To be an effective teacher according to Islamic principles, one must possess certain personality traits that align with the values and teachings of the Quran and Sunnah.
Over the past decade through learning and implementing teaching methodologies from my teachers, I have come to the conclusion that if every teacher can inculcate the following steps In-sha-allah they too can make an huge impact on their students.
1. Patience (Sabr)
2. Compassion and Empathy (Rahma)
3. Humility (Tawadhu)
4. Knowledge and Wisdom (Ilm and Hikmah)
5. Integrity and Honesty (Adl and Sidq)
6. Adaptability and Flexibility
7. Gratitude (Shukr)
Equally on the other hand traits that a teacher should eliminate and eviscerate from their Nafs (inner-self):
1. Extravagance (Israaf)
2. Pride (Istikbaar/ Takabbur)
3. Arrogant boaster (Mukhtal fakhoor)
4. Transgression (Udwaan)
5. Evil, wrongdoing, oppression (Zulm)
6. Treachery (Khiyaanah)
7. Mischief-making (Ifsaad)
8. Committing evil Publicity
9. Obscene words and acts
10. Abstinence from worldly desires (ذهد في الدنيا ورغبة في الآخرة - Zuhd fid dunya wa raghba fil akhirah)

We are also hoping that parents with children who attend after school Masajid or Madrasah classes will speak to their respective imams/teachers and get approval for children to attend the march instead of attending classes on that day. This event will be a collective engagement with the Bradford local Masajid and Madrasahs in Bradford In-sha-allah.
The children are the voices of the future so we need to ensure they are given a platform to raise their voices for the children of Gaza in a constructive way so let’s work together to make this children’s march a huge success!
Rise, resist… for Gaza raise your fist!

Get to know your teachers 😃 - A little something about Ustaad and Apa. Purpose of this is to remind, encourage and motivate students to study Islam beyond and above just Maktab Level. There is a stigma in our elder generation that learning Islam is only up to maktab level and that’s it.
We trying to break away from this by trying our best to be some may say as a role model for the new generation ahead.
There is a famous saying;
اُطْلُبُوا الْعِلْمَ مِنَ الْمَهْدِ إلى اللَّحْدِ
‘Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave’
Without a doubt every single Muslim’s walking talking role model is non other than our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Allah swt says in the Holy Quran in Surah Ahzaab: “Indeed in the messenger of الله is an excellent exemplar…”
May Allah swt make our students a beacon of light for the Ummah ahead. Ameen.
