After a very busy start to the week,our fantastic staff team stayed behind for their regular staff meeting. We discussed important information as well as having time to plan exciting and engaging activities for all the children to look forward to over the coming weeks.

What a fantastic day of outdoor adventuring we had yesterday. We had a very exciting car ride to Ellar Carr woods. When we got there we sat and listened to the story of “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt” and then went on a bear hunt of our own. We came across lots of the obstacles that the family in the story also came across and there was an awful lot of squelchy squerchy mud! Some of us even got our wellies stuck in it! After lunch, back at Nursery, we made some amazing weavings to represent the different parts of the story and, of course, we finished our day with a campfire and marshmallows! A day to remember!

Wow, what a week! The weather has certainly tested us all, but we are pleased to say that we have remained open for all our families all week. Our team have done us proud with their determination to get in to work and throw themselves into some snowy fun. One look at the childrens faces as they got wrapped up and played outside makes it worth the effort. Thank you team Little Wellies!

From building igloos, to playing with snowballs and sledging We're certainly making the most of the snow this week and the children have no idea that they are learning and risk assessing throughout their play. Just how it should be. 😊❄
