This week we received a magical delivery: a special letter straight from the cat in our favourite story ‘pumpkin soup’. 🎃

When the cat completely forgot what ingredients were needed for her famous recipe, the children jumped into action, using their brilliant phonics knowledge to help her write a shopping list!

Today brought an even bigger surprise! The cat lost her glasses 🤓 and needed the children's help to cook the famous soup! 🍜 Working collaboratively, our young chefs rolled up their sleeves to safely chop pumpkins and onions. This afternoon, we will celebrate their hard work by sitting down together to enjoy delicious homemade pumpkin soup served with warm bread. 🎃

Well done, Reception! What a fantastic display of teamwork and literacy in action. 👏😃
