At Nicola's Childminding Service

A fun filled last two weeks of term making memories.

We have said goodbye and good luck to one of our little friends as they move onto their next learning adventure 💙 (this has to be the hardest part of my job! 😢)

This week has been about
☀️ Keeping cool
☀️ Keeping our activities less active
☀️ Drinking plenty
☀️ Keeping our sun cream topped up
☀️ Staying in the shade

We might have been melting but we have still had lots of fun!

We have been super busy over the last few weeks. We are continuing to build on our independent skills putting our own coats and shoes on, setting the table for mealtimes, pouring our own drinks, encouraging an awareness of personal hygiene when washing hands and wiping our noses.

We have enjoyed spending time out in the garden and have given some of our areas a little update, which everyone is enjoying. Only another 4 weeks until the end of the academic year! How did that happen 😱

We are continuing to follow the children's interests by taking their cuddly puppy dogs to the pet shop and to visit the vets. We asked lots of questions and spoke to people in the waiting room.

The puppies were very well behaved and stayed very still on the weighing scales! 🐾

We were also given some Pet Reports to use in our own veterinary surgery back at Nicola's house.

A great first week back. Our beans that we planted before the holidays have started to grow. I wonder if they will reach our castle!

We have made a role play shop out of a large cardboard box. They have loved using their imaginations and the resources from around the room to further develop their play.

We all had a fabulous last week of the half term. Visits to Harlow Carr Gardens and the Bradford Industrial Museum. Lots of outdoor fun throughout the week. We also planted our beans after reading Jack and the Beanstalk.
Already looking ahead to the next half term. My Summer resource box is out and we have lots of things to explore. 🌻🐛🦋🦈🐠🛝🌳🌞🪣🪏
