What a fantastic day out we all had at Nell Bank Outdoor Education Centre, Ilkley today. It was wonderful to see families spending time together and engaging in the activities. 😊

Thank you to Walk On The Wild Side for a fantastic animal encounter experience. Early years had an amazing time observing, feeling and learning all about the wonderful creatures. What an amazing end to the school year!

Class 3 and 4 enjoyed practicing the French that they have learnt this term by asking for their ice- cream in French!

Pre-School children got to meet a range of animals this afternoon! We met an African Grey Parrot, Guinea Pigs, Millipede, a Snake and a Bearded Dragon! We hope this is a memory they will remember over the summer and in the future!

🥳🐻 Pre-School Teddy Bears Picnic! 🐻🥳
On Friday we had a Teddy Bears Picnic to celebrate the end of the term as we have a surprise in store this afternoon! We made party hats, brought our teddies from home, popped many bubbles and sat together to eat our picnic food!

Congratulations to our two winners of the 2026 “The World Through Our Eyes” Art Competition, inspired by David Hockney!

We were incredibly impressed by the creativity, imagination and beautiful use of colour shown in all of the entries. Choosing our winners was no easy task!

Our two talented winners, each received a certificate and a prize in recognition of their outstanding artwork.

Well done to everyone who took part and helped us celebrate the life and legacy of the late Yorkshire artist, David Hockney.

This week, Reception children enjoyed a visit to Bradford Industrial museum to support their learning about vehicles from the past. We sketched our favourite transport and found out some interesting facts.

Rainbow Challenges are always a favourite in Class 1! 🌈 From construction, reading, phonics and maths to crafts and imaginative play. The children have been developing their independence, curiosity, teamwork, resilience and problem-solving skills. We love seeing their creativity, confidence and love of learning shine every day! ✨

To end off our plants topic in science, Class 1 were creating art using a technique called 'leaf pounding'. They stained the image of the leaf onto paper and fabric to see the chlorophyll release. We had lots of fun creating different prints and experimenting which surface was the best to use..

Year 6 had an amazing time at FlipOut for their end of year treat! Lots of fun was had!
