As it's World Mental Health Day, this week, today's assembly was about mental health. We discussed how we all have feelings and that we can have different feelings at different times and show them in different ways.
The Happiness Heroes talked about how our emotions can show up on our faces, bodies, voices, choices and our behaviour. We also talked about activities that we do to feel good and help our mental health such as, spending time with family, listening to music or doing something calming.
All the children then took part in a MyHappymind finger breathing exercise, led by our Happiness Heroes.

We will celebrate World Mental Health Day on Friday. The children can come to school in non-uniform, wearing something yellow for £1. Buns will be on sale after school tomorrow for 30p. All the money raised will go to YoungMinds to help them to continue to support children and young people.

Class 6 created these Viking ship watercolours during their art lesson. They used perspective, layered their colours, and created different shades to make their seascapes more dramatic.

Class 2 used the instruments to accompany a song noticing the change in pitch.

We had a special visitor in Reception today who taught us all about the importance of washing our hands properly! We learned some great tips and had lots of fun practising the correct handwashing technique!
