π‘ Teaching Tip of the Week
Pause before calling on someone to answer.
After asking a question, give your pupils a few extra seconds to think before inviting responses. This simple technique, often called wait time, encourages deeper thinking, increases participation and gives more pupils the confidence to contribute.
Instead of jumping straight to the first raised hand, try counting silently to five. You may be surprised by the quality of the answers - and by who chooses to join the discussion. β¨

Have you heard about adaptive teaching? π
Summer is the perfect time to explore new ideas and prepare for the next school year!
π Adaptive teaching is about responding to pupils' needs as they learn - making thoughtful adjustments to teaching while maintaining high expectations for every child. Rather than creating multiple versions of the same lesson, it's about using assessment and professional judgement to help all pupils succeed.
