Richard Hodgson Maths/Physics Tutor

Thought I would let everyone know that once the GCSE and A level exams are over (soon) I will be free to take on new students. If you are in Year 9 and need extra maths tuition or in Year 10 and need extra maths and science tuition I will be available.
I usually teach A level maths and physics so if you are planning to study A level maths or physics and want to get started over the summer let me know. Since covid I have been teaching online via skype and it has been very successful, the students like it and so do I. It means that I can do extra time at no extra cost, which by the way is £20 hour. Just to remind folks that I have a degree in theoretical physics and 17 years teaching in high school. I have been tutoring for 12 years. If you want to ask any questions feel free to message me.

Normally I do not get requests for lessons during the day as the kids are at school. Because of Covid 19 I have had some enquiries for daytime lessons. Just wanted to let people know that there are times available during the day for maths and physics tutoring should the need arise. If you need long term tutoring or just a few sessions to keep in practice that is ok. Ring or message if you would like to ask me any questions.

Recently I have been getting requests to do online tutoring because of the covid 19 restrictions. I now have a few online students doing maths and physics via skype. Initially I thought it would be quite difficult to do this, but it turns out to be just as good as if I were sitting alongside the student. I charge £20 per hour for a lesson but because I do not have to leave the house (no travelling time) I am quite happy for the lessons to go on longer at no extra cost. It is that time of year again and all the A level and GCSE maths and physics exams are now over. I am now taking bookings for September, but should anyone wish to get a head start I am available now. Children from Yr 7 upwards and adult learners welcome. For further details or an informal chat please message me and I will get back to you.

Recently I have been getting requests for help with specific topics in the A level Maths syllabus, e.g. mechanics which many students find quite challenging. I am quite happy to help as and when required with any aspects of the A level maths and physics syllabuses. However, GCSE students do tend to benefit from regular lessons (usually once a week). Adults who need help with maths and physics at any level are welcome as I am free during the day.

Just letting people know I have taken on some new A level students this year but I still have some times available. If you feel that you only need a tutor for a specific topic e.g mechanics, which can be a bit tricky for some people, then that is ok. GCSE and help for casual learners also available.

Most of my students have now finished their final exams and I am now booking for September. For students starting their A level courses I am available to help them get a head start immediately. Besides A level maths and physics, which is my speciality, I also teach GCSE maths, and I am quite happy to help year 8 and 9 pupils. Adult learners welcome. I charge £25 per hour, although my lessons often last longer at no extra charge. I will travel to your home, again at no extra charge. I have a degree in theoretical physics, 17 years experience teaching in schools and 8 years as a tutor.

I have some times available at the moment for all levels at £25.00 per hour.
