Road Layout Changes Improve Student Safety

To improve safety for students, staff and visitors, over the Easter holiday there have been some changes to the road layout at our campus entrance on Haycliffe Lane.

Read full details on our website. Bradford Council processed a Traffic Regulation Order to extend the existing one way system on Haycliffe Lane adjacent to the main campus entrance and stopping vehicles from turning right when exiting.

Grange Technology College runs Words for Work three years in a row | National Literacy Trust

For the last three years, we have been working with the Literacy Trust, who have delivered their Words for Work programme to small groups of students. The aim is to build student confidence helps to prepare them for the challenges of the workplace.

We were recently asked for permission to feature in a case study about Words for Work, which is now available to read on the Literacy Trust's website. Young Rohingya Muslim refugee tells his story to classmates

We're extremely proud of this group of students, who have showed great teamwork and leadership by presenting a very informative, insightful and heartfelt presentation to their Sixth Form peers.

The group have been on a journey, learning about the plight of the Rohingya people in Myanmar, a story which was reality for one of the group, as you will find out.

Edition 16 of our newsletter Learning @ Grange is now available on our website. Apologies for the quiet period but we are now up and running and aiming to deliver a newsletter every few weeks.

Last week, 6 students from Grange performed on stage alongside students from Southfield at the 9th Annual Naat & Qiraat.

The group also shared the stage with a superstar of the Islamic Poetry world as part of a live community radio broadcast that was listened to by 20,000 people.

Holidays & Opening Hours

Our 2018-19 Term Dates have been approved. Find them on our website: Holiday opening hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm (3:30pm on Fridays). The building is typically open for extended hours during term time to facilitate after school activities or events, however visits outside of opening hours are by arrangement only.

Reading programme recognition!

We're delighted to announce we have received recognition as a Ruth Miskin Trained School following the training of fifty staff to deliver a phonics reading programme which helps brig students up to speed with their reading.
