FoodSavers Network customers all took home a recipe bag full of beautiful fresh ingredients to make at their leisure.
It went down a treat.

We've come to the end of another summer holiday of cookery classes. Altogether in our Bradford and Leeds cookery schools we've taught over 200 children and young people to cook. That's 83 classes and outreach sessions teaching people to prepare healthy and nutritious meals, trying new ingredients and developing skills and confidence in the kitchen. We're really proud of what every one of you has achieved this summer and we hope you've all enjoyed it as much as we have. We'd like to say a big thank you to Feeding Britain for their very generous funding that has enabled us to offer almost all our sessions free of charge.

We hope everyone is enjoying the school holidays, we're having a great time, we're really busy with classes, we love seeing people who we've been working with for a few years now and loving meeting all the new people signing up for classes, maybe some of you will be chefs in the future? 👨🏼‍🍳

We would like to take this opportunity to address a couple of issues that we've been dealing with since the start of the summer both in Bradford and Leeds.
This summer is probably the busiest we've ever been, almost every class is fully booked, and this is absolutely amazing, we love that we've had funding from Feeding Britain so most of our classes are free to anyone attending, however we are having an issue with people arriving late to classes or not turning up at all without giving us any notice. If you're unable to attend a class, we completely understand, but please, please let us know in good time, that way we can offer your place to someone else who wants it. A lot of people have been disappointed this year that they've not been able to book a place and we've probably got the longest waiting list we've ever had. All we ask is that you let us know either on the email address on your confirmation email or on our FoodSavers number 07712 659231 if you're not going to be able to attend.
We also ask that you arrive on time for your session, most sessions start at 10am or 1pm (there are a few exceptions to this), it will state on your email the time of your class. Arriving after the start of the class is both disruptive to staff who might have to break off and also to other group members who have already started the class.

To try to minimise further issues we have made the decision that anyone missing two sessions without letting us know in advance will have any further bookings cancelled so we can offer these spaces to others. Anyone arriving more than 10 minutes after the start of the session will be unable to join the class to try and keep disruption to a minimum.
