Creative child- Bamboo kids

Well, what a busy 2 days already this week for our big kids club!

We had our trip yesterday which was thoroughly enjoyed, and today has been Minecraft mad and entailed…

🏉 The Minecraft games competition (some of our preschoolers joined in too 💚

🧁 Baking a cake and cake pops!

They also taught our big kids club team all about Minecraft (we’re not as cool as them!) and just played and had fun!

…. We have all honestly had such a great day and the children cannot wait for tomorrow for slime making and our frozen oobleck diamond hunt challenge! ⛏️

I have been a level 3 qualified practitioner for 11 years now. I’m mum to 2 crazy boys and I love to spend time making memories with my family on holiday, days out or getting crafty at home!

📝 What I do in nursery-

I work in playful pandas (preschool room) as part of an amazing team and love my job! I’m passionate about children’s early education and love creating beautiful displays of their work and photos 🥰 I am also the nursery reorganiser and love a room change 😁

❤️ Why I work in childcare...

Children have been a passion of mine ever since I can remember! I always knew when I was younger that whatever job I did it had to be with children. I enjoy being part of their story and helping them learn and develop, seeing those amazing milestones and supporting them to achieve.

☀️ The Summer holidays are flying by and we’re calling all gamers to come and get involved!

There’s still time to book your children into Big Kids Club next week! Whether you’re working, need a little time to yourself, or simply want to know they’re having fun, making friends and staying busy, we’ve got you covered. 💚

Here is what we have planned for next week, we will be going Minecraft mad and having lots of fun doing things that don’t keep us glued to a screen.

Spaces still available for next week- just pop us a message anytime to book in!

We do have our games console (children get time tokens to use through the week so we’re not stuck in front of the tv), foosball table, beading, LEGO, arts and crafts, books, toys, games and lots more available but days will also be broken up keeping busy and active!

👋🏼 A little about me...

I’m a mother of 3, 2 girls and 1 boy. I enjoy singing, listening to music and watching movies; my faves are The lion king and wicked (basically anything with music in it lol). I’m a reliable, honest person who gets on with everyone. I love to spend time with my children and family. I’m just a simple person ☺️

📝 What I do in nursery…

I work in preschool room, my team are amazing! I work with them to give the children a safe space from home, a room filled with fun play and activities, laughter and love.

I am just finishing my training to become the deputy safeguarding lead and early help practitioner; with this i know I’ll be helping keep children safe and supporting families to my best abilities to give them the helping hand they may not get elsewhere.

❤️ Why I work in childcare...

I’ve taken care of children since I was around 13, it’s something I’ve always wanted to do. Seeing children thriving and progressing; knowing I’ve contributed to that melts my heart! Building bonds with them and giving them a sense of security away from home is amazing!

👋🏼 A little about me...

I've worked in Early Years for over 20 years and have loved every step of my journey. I am 3 years in to a 6 year psychology degree and almost finished with a lead practitioner foundation degree. I love history and music and especially going to gigs!

📝 What I do in nursery…

As Nursery Manager, I support our incredible team, work closely with our families and strive to make Bamboo Kids a warm, welcoming and nurturing place where every child can flourish. As our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), I'm passionate about keeping every child safe, supporting families and ensuring every child receives the care, protection and opportunities they deserve.

Childcare is in my blood. I grew up surrounded by family members working in Early Years, and as a mum to two children, aunty to lovely nieces and nephews and godmum to eight wonderful godchildren, caring for children has always been a huge part of my life. I'm passionate about creating a nursery where every child feels safe, happy, valued and loved.

💚 A Space to Move, Explore & Regulate 💚

At Bamboo Kids, we know that every child learns and develops differently. Through observing our children, we recognised that many of them benefit from opportunities to climb, spin, balance, wobble and move their bodies throughout the day.

That's why we've created a dedicated sensory movement space! 🌈

This calm, purposeful area allows our practitioners to spend one-to-one time or work with small groups, bringing out equipment tailored to each child's interests and sensory needs. Whether it's climbing, balancing, spinning or simply enjoying some movement, the space helps children regulate their bodies, build confidence and have lots of fun along the way.

Our current resources include:
