We are a full day Early Years setting for children aged 0 to 5 years of age.

Helen Howes Nurseries are registered and inspected by OFSTED to provide day care for children aged 0 to 12 years. Ofsted officers inspected the setting this year awarding the nursery with a good report for both education and care. We offer full and part time day care including wrap around care and our Howes Hub out of school club offers breakfast after school and holiday care. During term time the nursery is registered to offer children aged two meeting government criteria and children aged three years 15 hours a week education grant at no cost during term time.

This morning preschool have had a lovely visit from Poppy at Nook Forest School🌳❤️we enjoyed all the autumn themed activites such as conker rolling, making badger key rings🦡and painting autumn animals.🐿 We have then developed our fire safety skills as we toasted marshmallows and drank hot chocolates🍂🔥

🏴‍☠️🌿 Ahoy, little explorers! 🌿🏴‍☠️

Our Forest School morning was full of pirate adventures. There were plenty of opportunities for outdoor learning, teamwork, problem-solving and lots of muddy fun along the way! 🌳✨

The children were super excited to toast marshmallows over the fire and enjoy a yummy hot chocolate🔥☕️

As autumn has arrived This week the junior room have been taking part in lots of autumn activites and crafts.

What a fantastic Forest School adventure we had this morning!🌳🌿

The children had so much fun exploring the great outdoors and enjoyed an exciting bus journey to Forest School before getting stuck into all the wonderful activities Poppy had planned for us.

🍇 We got creative painting with juicy blackberries! We used our imaginations to make magical mud potions.🐛 We went on a bug hunt to see what tiny creatures we could discover. 🧗‍♀️ We challenged ourselves on the climbing equipment, developing our physical skills, balance and coordination. And, after all that exploring, we finished our adventure with a delicious hot chocolate and biscuits before hopping back on the bus to nursery!

🥰 Building independence at snack time! 🥰

After the Junior Room enjoyed their snack, the children proudly washed their own plates and cutlery. 🧼🍽️

It was lovely to see them taking responsibility, developing their self-care skills and showing independence while helping to keep our environment clean and tidy. 🌟

Small tasks like these help build confidence and valuable life skills from an early age! 💕

🌿✨ What a fun morning we’ve had! ✨🌿

Our children and the babies have been busy exploring, climbing and enjoying all of our brand-new garden equipment! 🌟

The children have been developing their physical skills, coordination and balance as they climbed, stepped and explored the new apparatus. Even better, the children have been working together, encouraging one another and developing their social skills along the way. 💕🤝

This morning we had a lovely time going to the Cinama, the children really enjoyed the bus journeys , especially for the children whos first time it was going on the bus ride the excitement they showed was so lovely to see .
We enjoyed a yummy treat and juice whilst watching watching the film 😀 all the children were so well behaved , we then travelled back home and we were all so ready for our lunch 😋

This morning Babies took a lovely trip out to grasshoppers!The babies had so much fun playing on all the climbing equipment and outdoor bikes. This allowed the babies to explore and have fun whilst developing their physical skills. After we then got to see some exciting animals and insects as part of an animal session held at grasshoppers.🐇🦎

This afternoon Preschool got to take a trip to our local cafe, coffee and crumb, to enjoy a lovely chocolate milkshake🧋☀️the cafe staff were super inviting and accommodating for our little ones! The children loved sitting in the cafe and used their manners so well, we then took them for a play in the park to enjoy the sun❤️☀️

On Tuesday, Preschool, Juniors and a few babies took a fantastic trip to tropical world🦋🐛The children had an amazing time getting on the bus to travel into leeds. We explored all the different animals and insects in tropical world and the children learnt lots of new language! We then walked over to the park where we had even more fun seeing the ducks, going on the train and playing on the pirate ship!🏴‍☠️🦆
