These can be full of joy but also full of dread, some children thrive on routine and struggle with self regulation and some just get on without a care in the world.

We have had a few families talking to us about potty/toilet training and asking a few important questions.

* When's the best time to start?

* Is it best to start on the potty?

* How do I know if they are ready?

* Are they ready if they are going through so many clothes.

ERIC - The Children's Bowel & Bladder Charity is a charity that "believes it's crucial to shed light on these challenges to raise awareness and provide support"

Their section on "Let's Go Potty" follows their evidence - based 3 step approach

3) Stopping the Nappies.

We will support you whilst your child is potty/toilet training by discussing what you are doing at home and what we can put in the place to ensure we are all working together.

🌷 Well Being Wednesday 🌷

There is a lot of emphasis on supporting adults well being but how do we support children’s well-being?

As an adult we have so much to think about, home life, work life , social life but.....

....have you ever sat down and put down in words how many different emotions you will encounter when thinking about the above? happy, joy, excitement, sad, worry, frustration, OVERWHELMED

Children also have an emotion cup and as practitioners we try our best to support every emotion.

We nurture mentally healthy children, we don't just focus on where they are at developmentally wise & what are the next steps to achieve......

...... We pause, connect , build relationships. Bond!

As a key person we build security, attachment, resilience and the emotional well being of our all children.

We understand that sometimes we need to sit, connect, cuddle and pause.....

and FILL UP their emotional cup.

We strive to create a setting that is way more than looking homely and aesthetically pleasing.

At Gummy Bears Nursery and Out of School Club at Hilltop we embed respectful practice, provide places and spaces to nurture children who need us!!!

Anyone else feel like the weekends go to quick?

This is just a reminder that Monday's are the start to a brand new week and you can handle whatever life throws at you 🌼🌞🌼

We are offering the Holiday Activity and Food Programme for families who have primary aged children and are eligible for benefit related free school meals.

During the time with us they will receive breakfast and a healthy nutritious lunch, as well as participating in a range of indoor and outdoor activities.

We have set our pre school and out of school a little mission in honour of world book day to hide as many books as they could within Gomersal.
