🗣 Sharing Saturday on Good Friday 🗣

Do you ever feel lost and wonder what you can do with your children that's cheap and cheerful?

50 things to do before you are 5 is amazing, they are passionate about sharing inspiration for fun, affordable, some even free early learning to help every child reach their potential.

Over the half term, you could download the app and see how many you can tick of the list.

Don't forget to send us your pictures and let us know which ones are your favourites 😊

😊 Motivation Monday 😊

Can you believe it, we are already at the Easter Half Term Holidays.

These can be full of joy but also full of dread, some children thrive on routine and struggle with self regulation and some just get on without a care in the world.

Whatever your plans are over the next couple weeks, just remember you got this and we are proud of you 🐣

✨️ Don't forget to share your adventures ✨️

🗣 Sharing Saturday 🗣

We have had a few families talking to us about potty/toilet training and asking a few important questions.

* When's the best time to start?

* Is it best to start on the potty?

* How do I know if they are ready?

* Are they ready if they are going through so many clothes.

ERIC - The Children's Bowel & Bladder Charity is a charity that "believes it's crucial to shed light on these challenges to raise awareness and provide support"

Their section on "Let's Go Potty" follows their evidence - based 3 step approach

1) Preparation

2) Practice

3) Stopping the Nappies.

We will support you whilst your child is potty/toilet training by discussing what you are doing at home and what we can put in the place to ensure we are all working together.

🌷 Well Being Wednesday 🌷

There is a lot of emphasis on supporting adults well being but how do we support children’s well-being?

As an adult we have so much to think about, home life, work life , social life but.....
....have you ever sat down and put down in words how many different emotions you will encounter when thinking about the above? happy, joy, excitement, sad, worry, frustration, OVERWHELMED

Children also have an emotion cup and as practitioners we try our best to support every emotion.

We nurture mentally healthy children, we don't just focus on where they are at developmentally wise & what are the next steps to achieve......
...... We pause, connect , build relationships. Bond!

As a key person we build security, attachment, resilience and the emotional well being of our all children.

We understand that sometimes we need to sit, connect, cuddle and pause.....

and FILL UP their emotional cup.

We strive to create a setting that is way more than looking homely and aesthetically pleasing.

At Gummy Bears Nursery and Out of School Club at Hilltop we embed respectful practice, provide places and spaces to nurture children who need us!!!

Most of all we are.......

“An extension of home and not a watered down version of school.”

📚 In Gomersal’s streets, where dreams may roam,
Children from Hilltop and Gummy Bears comb,
With books in hand, their hearts so bright,
Spreading the love of reading, pure delight.

On World Book Day, their mission clear,
To share the magic far and near,
In every corner, a story to find,
Left by these young hearts, so kind.

From Hilltop Out of School Club, they roam,
With Gummy Bears’ love, they’re never alone.
In Gomersal’s embrace, books they leave,
For curious minds, eager to believe.

So let us celebrate, this noble deed,
As children plant the literacy seed.
In Gomersal’s streets, where dreams may soar,
World Book Day’s spirit, forevermore. 📚

We have set our pre school and out of school a little mission in honour of world book day to hide as many books as they could within Gomersal.

Please tag us if you are lucky enough to find one, good luck finding and happy reading 📚
