I had the great pleasure of providing background music for my sister in law’s 40th in June along with my sister and her partner.
We did an hour long set with singing, saxophones, piano, bass and guitar. It was so much fun! Here’s one of my solo items.

Evie has had such a great year in both singing and piano lessons. I’m particularly proud of her recent progress in piano. She has had several breakthrough moments over the last 6 months thanks to her practice and determination between lessons, and is now playing repertoire that she could happily perform in a concert. I love to see the excitement on Evie’s face when she masters a section that has been tricky. The first thing she asks is “can I do that again!” And she will proceed to play it again and again, each time getting more confident and her smile getting bigger and bigger. It’s brilliant! Evie is heading to high school this year and I just know that the music teachers will do a dance of joy when they find out what a fabulous singer and pianist she is. I can’t wait to get back to lessons next week. See you soon Evie, hope your first week of high school is fab! 🌟

A fabulous weekend in Carlisle making music and building friendships with Hot Aire Concert Band.

Today’s concert was at Carlisle Castle. We started the day with an incredible tour of the castle led by the most amazing tour guide, Derek. He was just fabulous! His knowledge seemed to know no bounds and his storytelling kept us captivated throughout. Then we (Hot Aire) got set up and played for a couple of hours in the beautiful setting in front of the Arnhem building. It has been a glorious day. 🎵
