🤔 WE NEED YOUR SUGGESTIONS 🤔

We currently run our foodbank on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursdays however Thursday is extremely quiet so we are thinking of doing something else on a Tuesday in the hub that will benefit the community 😊

Some ideas and suggestions we have had is…

⭐ Community cafe- serving hot and cold sandwiches, toasties and drinks at a really affordable price such as bacon butty and coffee £2!

⭐ Professional drop in sessions from organisations such as carers resource, early help, social prescribers, benefit advisors etc

⭐ A charity shop day! A morning where we set up a charity shop from donated items for people to come and grab a bargain!

Do you like the idea of any of these?…

We want your ideas and suggestions… please comment below

🥪 HOW MANY FREE LUNCHES HAVE WE PROVIDED? 🥪

Over the last 6 weeks we have provided local children with free lunch every day 😊

Parents were able to call into our hub once a week for a weeks worth of lunch items for each of their children- this ranged from sandwiches to wraps to beans on toast and all included healthy snacks and a few treats ♥️

After calculating all the numbers today we have fed an amazing ⭐ 257 children ⭐ over the summer holidays!

The financial cost to our community hub to provide these lunches was a huge

💵 £1354 💵

We are a self funding charity and rely on grants and donations to continue all aspects of our work, we aren’t government funded or part of a large organisation so for us to provide this service for FREE we have to ensure we are continuously fund raising💰

We would like to thank Cross lane community shop who provided us with an £800 grant towards the cost of the lunches ❤️ this grant really helped to take a large amount of the cost off us as a charity 😊

We will continue this service every school holidays as we know how essential it is to the children in our community 🌟
