🌸 End of Year Assembly 2025-26 🌸

As we brought another academic year to a close, our school gathered for a memorable End of Year Assembly, beginning with a beautiful recitation from the Noble Qur'aan, reminding us that all success begins with the guidance of Allaah.

Our Headteacher reflected on the many blessings and achievements of the year, encouraging students to look back with gratitude and forward with renewed determination. Students were reminded of the timeless advice of the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ:

"There are two blessings which many people waste: health and free time."
(Saheeh al-Bukhaari, no. 6412)

A truly inspiring highlight of the assembly was hearing the remarkable story of Dr S. Razaq, whose journey from growing up in Bradford to studying at Oxford was shaped by the sacrifices, encouragement and unwavering support of his mother and grandmother. It served as a powerful reminder that sincere effort, perseverance and strong family values can open doors to great opportunities.

Our Head Girl and Deputy Head Girl also addressed the school, sharing heartfelt reflections, words of gratitude and valuable advice for students as they prepare for the next stage of their journeys.

The assembly concluded with our Deputy Headteacher addressing everyone to reflect on the year followed by the annual awards ceremony, celebrating students' hard work and dedication throughout the year. Awards recognised: 🏆 Outstanding attainment 📈 Excellent progress ⏰ Attendance and punctuality ⭐ Exemplary behaviour

Congratulations to every award recipient, and a special congratulations to Maryam House, who were crowned this year's House Champions! 🎉

May Allaah reward all our students, staff and families for their efforts throughout the year, grant everyone a safe and beneficial summer break, and return us refreshed for another year of educational excellence and spiritual growth. Aameen. 🤲

🌍✨ Standing Together Against Racism & Islamophobia ✨🌍

Today we were proud to host a powerful assembly led by one of our incredible Year 10 prefects, on Racism and Islamophobia in the Community. 🎤📢

She spoke with courage and conviction about:
🔹 The rising numbers of hate crimes and online abuse
🔹 Why staying silent only allows harm to continue
🔹 The impact of being unfairly labelled because of appearance or faith
🔹 The importance of moving from passive tolerance to **active accountability** 💪

She also beautifully reminded us all of the Prophetic teaching:
🕊️ *"There is no superiority of an Arab over a non-Arab... nor of a white person over a black person, except by piety and righteousness."*

A powerful call to action for our students: **Recognize it. Record it. Report it.** 📹📝 Don't stand for it. 🚫

We are so proud of our Prefect from Yr 10 (going into Yr 11) for using her voice to inspire change and remind us all that unity and justice start with each one of us. 👏💚
