We are looking for a Lunchtime Supervisor
1 hour per day, TTO
Permanent contract
To commence from September 2021
Band 3, Scale Point 2 - £9.43 per hour

The successful applicant will actively supervise the pupils in the dining room, playground and throughout the academy premises during the lunchtime period.

Duties:-
• To support the welfare, health and safety of pupils at designated times, either in the canteen or play area.
• To promote and foster good relationships between pupils.
• To challenge inappropriate behaviour and to provide pupils with boundaries of acceptable behaviour.
• To identify any causes of concern displayed by pupils and to report these to the Senior Lunchtime Supervisor or Teacher where appropriate.
• To arrange for first aid to be administered.
• To oversee the cleanliness of dining areas e.g. clean up spillages and ensuring eating areas are hygienic.
• To be aware of and work in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018, including the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018.
• To understand and comply with the statutory guidance regarding safeguarding of children, ensuring the safeguarding and promotion of children’s welfare at all times, reporting any concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Officer immediately.
• To comply with the Trust and academy’s policies and procedures at all times.

We are looking for an inspirational lunchtime supervisor who will make a valuable contribution to our school community. The successful candidate will have met the requirements of the person specification and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. Only applications submitted on the school’s application form will be considered. We welcome applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion. Shortlisted applicants will need to provide evidence of their eligibility to work in the UK.

This role is customer facing and therefore in line with the Immigration Act 2016; all applicants must be able to demonstrate fluency of the English Language to the level defined in the job description.

Thank you to all the children who took part in the competition to design a poster highlighting how to keep safe during the Pandemic. Better Communities Bradford have awarded a Fitbit Watch to all the pupils who entered.

The winners will receive a FITBIT watch as well as vouchers worth £30 (1st prize), £25 (2nd prize) and £15 (3rd prize).
