Hi guys its Mobeen Hussain

I am pleased to say most of you are aware I am a Candidate for the May 2024 local elections in our Ward of Queensbury which are next week.

This came after encouragement and support from many residents and the community, when I decided to stand and continue to build on the work that I have undertaken within the community for the best interest of the community. Over the last couple of month I have had amazing support and door step conversations with my local residents, friends and comrades.

I am someone who has worked tirelessly for the best interest of our community and will continue to do so, I am proud to be your local founder of the foodbank and community HUB, Moreover, I am a local resident, business owner and a family man who is married to an amazing NHS Doctor, with two wonderful kids, one who many of you have come to know, young Taha a budding footballer at our local football club Queensbury Celtic.

Over the next couple of days and week I look forward to continue meeting and speaking with you to identify key priorities for our ward.

😊

My name is Ashley, and I was born and bred right here in Bradford.

I have a deep rooted passion for our community and a clear vision for how we can make Queensbury an even better place to live.

From the Frontline to Our Streets My professional life has been dedicated to the NHS. Working on the frontline has taught me more than just clinical skills; it has shown me the incredible resilience of people across the Bradford District.

However, it has also highlighted the immense pressures that families here in Queensbury are facing right now.

I’ve seen firsthand how wider issues like unsafe streets, poor housing, or a lack of local investment directly impact the health and wellbeing of our neighbours. I want to translate my experience in healthcare into direct action for the community.

My Priorities for Queensbury:
I am stepping up as your Community Campaigner because I want to be a true advocate for you. I want to understand your daily challenges and ensure the Council hears your voice. I am ready to get to work on and will be working closely with Cllrs Mitchel & Johnson:

● Road Safety & Traffic: Tackling the increasing traffic volumes on Black Lane and addressing speeding concerns across the ward.

● Local Infrastructure: Holding the Council to account on essential maintenance, from fixing potholes to improving our public spaces, including the Queensbury Tunnel.

● Sensible Development: Representing your concerns regarding housing developments on the Green Belt to ensure our local services can actually cope and are sustainable.

● Fairness for Queensbury: Ensuring our ward gets its fair share of investment and support from Bradford Council.

I am here to listen, to advocate, and to be a voice with you and for you. So please feel free to contact me.
