๐จ Preparing for Benedict's Law? ๐จ
From September 2026, schools in England will be expected to:
- have a dedicated allergy safety policy
- provide allergy awareness training for staff
- hold spare adrenaline auto-injectors as part of their emergency preparedness arrangements
We're really proud that Coram SCARF has been part of the Allergy School partnership, working alongside The Natasha Foundation, The King's Foundation, St John Ambulance and Tesco Stronger Starts to help create resources that support schools in building confidence around allergy awareness
๐ฆ The free Allergy School resources feature Harold the Giraffe and his friend Arlo the Armadillo, helping children aged 3โ11 learn about food allergies in engaging and age-appropriate ways
Resources have been designed to help children feel empowered, included and protected, while giving staff the confidence to create safer school environments
Best of all, they're free for all primary schools โ whether or not they are SCARF subscribers.
