Students and staff at St Laurence School are celebrating another year of exceptional A Level outcomes, with this year's results reflecting the dedication, resilience and ambition of our young people.
Every student entered for A Levels achieved a pass, with an impressive 85% of students securing grades between A* and C across all their qualifications, while more than 30% of all grades awarded were at the highest levels of A* or A. These achievements resulted in an average grade of B across the cohort, an outstanding accomplishment for a year group of this size.
Headteacher Tim Farrer said:
"We are incredibly proud of everything this group of students has achieved. Their determination, commitment and hard work over the past two years have been extraordinary, and it has been a pleasure to see them grow into confident and capable young adults. These results are richly deserved, and we wish them every success as they move on to the next stage of their lives."
Around 30% of students achieved A or A* grades across their subjects, and we are delighted that members of the cohort have once again secured places at Oxford and Cambridge. However, the school's pride extends far beyond headline figures.
Mr Farrer added:
"As a fully comprehensive school, we celebrate the achievements of every student. Whether they are progressing to university, higher-level apprenticeships or directly into employment, each individual has worked hard to achieve their goals. Their success reflects both their dedication and their determination to make the most of the opportunities available to them."
Performance was strong across a wide range of subjects, demonstrating the high aspirations held by students and staff alike. These results underscore St Laurence School's commitment to ensuring every young person is supported to achieve their very best.
