We are Bracknell's premier day nursery. We are the only day nursery in Bracknell to be judged 'outstanding' by Ofsted and the only one to be open from 7-7 too.

Teepee Day Nursery is Bracknell's premier, multi-award winning day nursery. We provide childcare and education for children from six weeks to pre-school and we are the only day nursery that’s independent, family-run. 🕷️🌧️ Incy Wincy Spider Sensory Fun! 🕷️🌈✨

We brought Incy Wincy Spider to life with a fun, messy and exciting sensory activity! 🕷️🎶💦

The children loved exploring cool, squishy gloop, a drain pipe and a little spider 🕷️👐 while singing along to the familiar nursery rhyme! 🎵🥰

There were lots of opportunities to scoop, squeeze, squish and explore 🤲💦✨ as the children watched the gloop ooze through the pipe! 👀🫧

🌟 Through this hands-on experience, the children were developing:

👀 Hand-eye coordination
🧠 Curiosity & problem-solving
🤲 Sensory exploration
🗣️ Language & communication
🎶 Listening & participation

It was wonderful to see the children making connections between sensory play, music and a much-loved nursery rhyme! 🕷️🎶💕

Why not sing Incy Wincy Spider together at home? 🕷️🎵 You could create your own simple sensory play using water 💦, flour 🌾 or slime 🫧.

Encourage your child to describe how it feels — is it soft, sticky, smooth, cold or squishy? 🤲👀🗣️

You could even use a toy spider and pretend it is climbing up the pipe! 🕷️⬆️🎶

🇮🇹🍕🍝 Ciao, Italy! 🍝🍕🇮🇹

This month, our Preschool Suite is taking an exciting journey to Italy! ✈️🇮🇹🌍✨

We’ll be discovering all about Italian culture, traditions and life while exploring what makes Italy so special! 🥰🏛️🎭🎶

🇮🇹 We’ll be looking closely at the Italian flag and comparing its colours and design with the flags of the other countries we have explored! 🚩🌍🔍

🍝 And of course… we can’t explore Italy without talking about PASTA! 😋🍝❤️

The children will be discovering the names of different types of pasta, from 🍝 spaghetti to 🌀 fusilli, 🎀 farfalle and many more! 👀✨

🌟 Through our Italian-themed learning, the children will have opportunities to:
🌍 Explore different cultures and traditions
🇮🇹 Learn about another country
🚩 Compare flags and colours

🧽💦 Sponge Squeeze Fun in the Toddler Suite! 💦🧽

Our toddlers had a fantastic time taking part in our 🧽 Sponge Squeeze activity! 😍👏

We had a splashing good time 💦😂 exploring the wet, soapy sponges 🧼🧽, squeezing them 🤲💪 and watching the water trickle out! 💧✨

🎯 The aim of this activity was to practise the open-and-close hand motion ✋🤲, supporting our toddlers' physical development and helping to strengthen those little hand and finger muscles 💪👆🖐️.

🌟 Through this simple and fun sensory activity, the children were developing:
🤲 Hand strength & coordination
✋ Fine motor skills
💪 Physical development
👀 Hand-eye coordination
🧠 Concentration & focus
💦 Sensory exploration

🌟💛 Meet the Team: Sally! 💛🌟

This week, we’re introducing Sally, our lovely Nursery Practitioner at Teepee! 🌈✨

Sally has been part of the Teepee family for 3 months 🎉 and is currently completing her Level 3 Early Years qualification 📚🌱.

🎨 Her favourite activities are messy play and getting everyone moving with Raver Tots! 💃🎶 She loves seeing the children dance, laugh and have fun together. 🥳✨

A fun fact about Sally... 🤭 She says her hobby is being very loud! 😂🔊

🏖️🦶✨ Sandy Toes & Sensory Fun! ✨🦶🏖️

We had lots of fun exploring the sand while developing our physical and motor skills! 🥰🏖️🌟

The children enjoyed feeling the soft, grainy sand gently sprinkled over their little feet 👣✨. As the sand tickled their toes, they had lots of fun wiggling, stretching and moving their toes! 🦶🤭💕

This wonderful sensory experience helped the children to:
🦶 Strengthen the small muscles in their feet 💪
👣 Practise toe and foot movements
🧠 Develop body awareness
🤲 Support physical and motor development
👀 Explore different textures through their senses
😊 Build confidence through sensory play

There were lots of giggles, wiggly toes and curious little faces as everyone explored! 😂🥰👣🏖️

🍎🍐🍓🍊 A Tasty Story Time Adventure! 🍊🍓🍐🍎

Story time was extra tasty in our Baby Suite today! 📚🐛🥰 We enjoyed reading the much-loved story The Very Hungry Caterpillar 🐛🍎📖 and explored all the delicious fruits the caterpillar enjoyed along the way! 🍐🍓🍊🍉🍌

After our story, the children had lots of fun getting involved in making their very own fruit salad! 🍇🍉🍌🥝🍓😋

Our little explorers enjoyed:
👀 Looking at different colours 🌈
🤲 Exploring different textures
👃 Discovering new smells
🍎 Recognising familiar fruits
🗣️ Talking about the fruits they could see
😋 Enjoying a delicious and healthy snack together

🌱🌿 Growing, Exploring & Discovering in Our Very Own Kitchen Garden! 🌿🌱

Look at these beautiful runner beans and pepper plants growing in our very own Kitchen Garden! 🫛🌱🫑💚

The children have been enjoying watching our plants grow and change, developing their curiosity and interest in the natural world. 👀🌿✨

We’re especially intrigued to see what colour our peppers will eventually be! 🌈🫑🤔

Will they be 🟢 green, 🔴 red, 🟡 yellow or 🧡 orange? We can’t wait to find out! 😍🌈

This week, we’re introducing Charlotte, our lovely Level 2 Practitioner at Teepee! ✨🌈

Charlotte has been part of the Teepee family since October 2024 🎉 and has loved being part of our supportive team, providing care, encouragement and meaningful experiences for our children. 💕

🌳 Charlotte enjoys spending time with the children exploring the local neighbourhood and visiting the park, as well as getting involved in exciting messy play experiences. 🎨✨
