The hardest thing I have ever had to do was decide to close the Pines Community Pre-school for good this week.
We have been in existence for 49 years, previously as Hanworth Pre-school.
Jane Gibbon started it all until her untimely death . She trained me during the last 6 weeks of her life, and here I am today, still following in her belief that children’s care is more important than anything else that we do.
I have had the pleasure of working with a lot of great people over the years and got to know some amazing parents, many of whom I consider friends. Most of all I have enjoyed spending time with the children, for the last 30 years, helping them develop into great human beings!
I would like to thank the team for working incredibly hard this term and getting us to the end without too many problems. I wish them all well in the future with their careers and hope to still be in touch .
So this is Goodbye .
