☀️ Summer savings for families ☀️



The Great British Summer Savings Scheme is running from 25 June to 1 September 2026, helping families feel a bit less squeezed this summer.

The new scheme includes reduced VAT on days out, including tickets at attractions like soft play, adventure centres and theme parks, children's tickets for theatres and cinemas, and children's meals in restaurants. Children aged 5 to 15 in England will also be able to travel free on local bus services throughout August.

New measures this summer to reduce the cost of days out, travel and getting around for families with children.

We have had a bit of mixed weather this last couple of weeks.

One week we were having lots of water play and making sure we stayed cool, the next it was puddle suits and puddle jumping.

We have played with water using our tipping and pour skills learning new words such full and empty which builds on our communication and maths skills.

We have been to playgroup and explored all of the resources there building on our social skills.

We have been to the park and learnt how to climb some tricky climbing frames and whizzing down the slide.

We also attending Phonics with Robot Reg Bracknell & Ascot building our communication and language.

We also did some counting and measuring with the older children whilst the smalls napped we used number blocks and blockzillar to look at heavier, lighter, bigger, smaller, the same and equal.

National Bee Day 🐝 🐝

We used our fine motor skills to scrunch up pieces of tissue paper to make our Bee collage. Its a work in progress and will be finishing them throughout this week and possibly next week.
The children had a lot of patience and perseverance when doing this activity as we had to scrunch a lot of tiny little pieces.

A busy couple of weeks.

A visit to the farm learning about different animals and having lots of fun on the play park and in the sandpit.
VE Day celebrations - fine motor and colours
Planting seeds - discussing the life cycle of a plant.
Stone decorating using our fine motor skills.
Plus lots more.

I can now officially post that I had my first Ofsted inspection on the 8th April and I have received my first report.

I achieved expected standard in all areas. 🥳 🎉

We had a fab easter.

We had an easter egg hunt, we dug for dinosaur bones, continued to learn about the life cycle of a butterfly, we released our butterflies into the wild which was amazing to see.

We have also had some water play and we have been to lots of parks and to playgroup.

We also had a very important visitor come to the setting too, but all will be revealed soon.
