Children are the most honest reviewers that you will ever get. This is a direct quote and I did discuss is/are as 15 minutes is plural and if we were writing then we would use the correct grammar. Which then led to a discussion about how we speak and how we write as well as regional variations.

If you are looking for support for your child then do get in touch and we can discuss next steps.

πŸ“š Life Lately at Primary Stars Tutoring... πŸ˜…

I realised I haven't done one of these round-up posts in a while... mostly because life has been doing what life does best – keeping me ridiculously busy! πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Here's what's been happening...

🍩 July wrapped up with our final tutoring sessions, and naturally we celebrated with some baking. Jammy doughnut cakes were on the menu, and I'm pleased to report they disappeared much faster than any maths worksheet ever has!

πŸŽ‰ A huge goodbye to my Year 6 pupils. It's always bittersweet saying farewell, but I'm incredibly proud of how well they did in their SATs. Watching their confidence grow has been the best part of my year, and I can't wait to hear how they get on in secondary school.

πŸ“£ Behind the scenes, I've been working hard to become more visible online. It turns out that the old ways of finding tutoring clients aren't quite cutting it anymore, so you'll probably be seeing a lot more of me on social media! If you've ever liked a post, shared one, or recommended me to someone - thank you. And if you know a family, friend or colleague with a primary-aged child who could benefit from a confidence boost in maths, I'd be so grateful if you could pass my details on. Word of mouth really does make a huge difference. ❀️

πŸ’ This week also marked our wedding anniversary. We escaped to Windsor for a wonderfully relaxed day, enjoyed a boat ride along the Thames, introduced my husband to the magic of three small plates at Wetherspoons (I know... where has he been?! πŸ˜‚), and finished with A Long Walk near Windsor Castle. Perfect.

πŸ›οΈ This weekend's exciting mission? Preparing my son's room for a new bed... because his old one has finally given up after years of loyal service. I suppose that's one way to redecorate!

βž• And yes... I'm still tutoring over the summer! If your child would benefit from a maths confidence boost before September, I still have some holiday booster sessions available.

Drop me a message if you'd like to find out moreβ€”and if you've made it this far, thanks for sticking with my little life update! πŸ˜ŠπŸ“šπŸ’™

Finished with another Y6 pupil today who absolutely smashed their SATS. Did NOT have a little cry in the car.
