A huge thank you to all the wonderful families who joined us today for our SEND Little Muddy Boots session at Holme Grange! 💛

We had the loveliest autumn vibes, with lots of exploring, discovering and getting hands-on with pumpkins, cornflour and so much more! 🎃🌽🍂

It was lovely to see the children exploring in their own ways, trying new textures, following their interests and enjoying the freedom to play in a safe, welcoming space. 🥰

These little moments are what make our sessions so special. Every child can explore at their own pace, in their own way, with no pressure and plenty of opportunities to discover something new. 💛

Thank you for being part of our Together: One Step at a Time community. We can’t wait to welcome you back for more muddy, messy and sensory fun! 🌈

“Why can’t you come every day to see me?”

A child asked me this during a recent session… and honestly, my heart 🥹

Sometimes we focus so much on what a child is working on during a session — communication, social skills, turn-taking, sensory exploration, confidence, emotional regulation and so much more.

But then they say something like this.

And you realise that underneath all of that, they feel safe, comfortable and happy being with you. 💛

For some children, building that trust takes time.

It might start with simply being in the same room.
Then choosing an activity.
Then talking.
Then sharing an interest.
Then laughing together.

And eventually…

“Why can’t you come every day?” 🥹

That little question meant so much to me.

It reminded me exactly why I love what I do — creating safe, positive spaces where children can be themselves, build confidence and genuinely enjoy learning through play. 🌈

And no… I probably can’t come every day 😂

But I’ll definitely be looking forward to seeing you next time. 💛

We’re heading to Salt Kingdom in Bracknell for a relaxed SEND-friendly salt room session! 💕

Children can explore and play in the salt room while parents/carers have a chance to sit back and breathe for a moment too. 🥰

The session is kept to a small number of SEND children, helping to create a calmer environment where children can explore without the overwhelm of a busy session.
