Hello everyone, we hope you’ve had a good weekend! 👋🏻

Last week at preschool, the children enjoyed lots of hands-on activities and sensory play. We also celebrated Burns Night, where the children had the chance to try haggis as part of the celebrations 🥳🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

One of our sensory trays focused on the Scottish flag 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, using blue rice with spoons, bowls, bottles, and funnels for filling and pouring. Alongside this, we also had oats with bowls and spoons, giving the children more opportunities to scoop, pour, and explore different textures 🌾

Another sensory tray included giant ribbon threading with toilet rolls which the children loved! And a variety of musical instruments 🎸🎹, which the children really enjoyed exploring the noises they could make.

At the drawing table last week, the children took part in Scottish flag colouring 🖍️aswell as tartan design sheets to create their own patterns 🖍️. We also had Paw Patrol colouring sheets, which were chosen by the children and very popular 🐾

🌈✨ Hello everyone! ✨🌈
What a fun and busy week we’ve had as we focused on the children’s next steps in their learning 📚💛

In our sensory tray 👀✋, the children explored emotion laminates with emotion mirrors 😊😢😠 to help them recognise and talk about different feelings. We also enjoyed colour sorting laminates 🌈 to practise colour recognition, peg boards 🔴🔵🟡 to practise creating and recognising patterns, and star number threading ⭐🔢 using cereal to support early number skills and fine motor development 🙌

At the drawing table ✏️🖍️, the children have been busy with pencil control activities, cutting sheets ✂️, light-up whiteboards 💡, stencils, and lots of paper for free drawing and creativity 🎨🖼️

Our art activities included emotion handprints ✋🎭, rainbow colour matching 🌈, and many other fun and engaging activities that encouraged creativity and self-expression 🧡💙💜

We hope you’ve all had a great weekend🙂
We’ve had a busy and fun week filled with lots of play, exploring and happy moments with friends!

Our sensory trays were very popular this week! The children loved the bird-themed tray, feeding baby chicks in numbered nests 🐥, as well as the colour matching activity and the baby washing tray👶🏼

At the drawing table, the children enjoyed pencil control and number sheets, bird colouring pages, and exploring a variety of stencils with paper, creating their own designs and pictures 🎨.
We had lots of fun making bird feeders, binoculars and exploring leaf printing 🍃, giving the children plenty of opportunities to be creative and imaginative.

The children were so excited to play in the snow ❄️ and had a wonderful time having fun with their friends. When the weather improved, we brought out our new parachute, which the children absolutely loved!

Indoors, the children enjoyed our new games including bouncy balls ⚽, ribbon sticks 🌈 and hula hoops ⭕ — and we also had a disco, with lots of dancing!

Hello everyone👋🏻
We hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Last week was a fun and busy one at preschool as we explored maths in lots of exciting ways. The children have also been very busy creating some lovely Christmas surprises for our parents… but we can’t reveal too much just yet! 🎄😉

In our sensory tray, the children enjoyed threading toilet rolls with pipe cleaners, practising their fine motor skills and creativity. We also had number and letter magnets with baking trays for the children to explore and match their numbers and letters. Our laminated shape sheets with whiteboard pens and erasers were a big hit—lots of brilliant shape drawing!

We added even more maths fun with Numberblocks colouring sheets, number pencil control activities, and chalkboards with chalk for the children to practise their early writing and mark making.

Hello everyone! 👋🏻👋🏻
this week we have enjoyed looking into our theme foods from around the world🇬🇧🇨🇳🇨🇮

✨ This week in our sensory tray! ✨
We explored foods from around the world:
🍝 Spaghetti and meatballs with the Italian flag — the children loved pretending to make dinner for their friends!
🥢 Chinese noodles with menus and chopsticks (or tweezers!) for fine motor fun.
🌸 Colourful Diwali flowers, herbs, and spices — perfect for mixing, matching, and exploring new scents and textures.
🌾 And crunchy Rice Krispies to explore with different country flags and food pictures — the children had so much fun matching them together!

🎨 Over at our drawing table, we designed our own pizzas, coloured Chinese flags, and used stencils and pencils to practise our pencil control. The children loved drawing their favourite fruits and vegetables too! 🍎🍕

🎶 New in our garden! 🎶
We’ve added a brand-new music wall outside — the children have loved exploring all the different sounds they can make! 🥁✨
We also added scales and new resources to our outdoor investigation area, giving the children more ways to explore🐛🪲🐞

We hope you all had a lovely weekend! 🌞

Last week at preschool we explored our Autumn theme — the children had a wonderful time discovering all the beautiful colours of the season. We looked at different coloured leaves, acorns, pinecones, and conkers🍂🍁

In our sensory trays, we enjoyed some fantastic hands-on activities:
🌾 A harvest matching tray with colourful blocks and pictures of farm produce.
🥕 A “grow your own vegetable patch” where children could dig, plant, and harvest their own veggies.
🚜 A construction site filled with orange lentils, acorns, conkers, and diggers — perfect for busy little builders!
🌿 And a herb cutting station where the children explored different herbs through smell, touch, and snipping — they absolutely loved this sensory experience!

At the drawing table, we focused on creativity and fine motor skills with leaf rubbing, pencil control activities, harvest counting sheets, and colouring sheets. ✏️🍁

We also got creative with apple printing, acorn finger painting, window leaf catchers, and wreath making — the children really enjoyed all the activities last week and we look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

Hello everyone!👋🏻👋🏻

This week, the children have really enjoyed exploring our theme of pirates through a variety of fun and engaging activities. In the sensory tray we have had: Pirate dress-up figures with a find the treasure game🏴‍☠️⚓️ we also had Pirate pictures, words, gems, and treasure to discover. We had Colourful rice shaker bottles to shake and explore different sounds. And lastly a hidden treasure game in shredded paper, using tweezers to find coins and pop them into a treasure box🪙

In art, they enjoyed making their very own pirate hats, binoculars, boats, and puppets, as well as exploring lots of different pirate colouring sheets throughout the week.⛴️💎

To finish off the week, it was lovely to see some of the children come dressed as pirates on Friday – they looked amazing, and it really added to the fun of our theme.🏴‍☠️💀

Hello everyone 👋🏻👋🏻
We hope everyone had a lovely weekend!

Last week was all about families, and we had such a fun time exploring the theme together. In our sensory tray we discovered animal families in their habitats🦏🦒, and the children loved making their own families with Mr. Potato Heads. We also played matching games with family cards in shredded paper, and the “Create My Face” activity was a big hit—pom poms, pipe cleaners, playdough, and googly eyes made for some very funny faces 🙂🤥

Our art activities have been making family trees with handprints, drew our families, and did some handprints and self portraits. Alongside these, we’ve had lots of other activities both indoors and outdoors for the children to get involved with, They have loved exploring preschool, making new friends, and having fun with familiar ones too👭

Welcome back, everyone! 🌟
We hope you all had a wonderful summer. A special warm welcome to our new starters – we’re so excited to have you join our preschool family. 📚👭

Last week we had lots of fun exploring our sensory trays with honey hoop cereal and pipe cleaners, as well as playing with Mr. Potato Heads and a “build your face” activity where the children could stick on eyes, noses, and more. 👀😊👃

On the drawing table, the children enjoyed a variety of colouring sheets, chalks with chalkboards, and whiteboards ✏️🖍️. Our art activity was paper plate faces were the children had to create themselves they loved doing this and really got involved! 👧🏼🧒🏼

Hello everyone we hope you’ve had a great weekend! Here are some things we got up to🙂

In the sensory tray we had letters with cars for the children to trace around the letters and talk about what letters we see, we have also had cornflour sensory tray with paint brushes for the children to write their names and letters🔤 We had pasta with colanders for the children to put the pasta through the holes as well as many other fun activities!

On the drawing table we have had light up whiteboards with letter tracing sheets and whiteboard pens, we have had number block colouring sheets ✏️ and our art activities this week have been finger painting letters, painting our names with cotton buds and the children also made fans which they loved! 🪭

With the weather looking hot next week could we please ask that all children have hats and sun cream applied before preschool and the children that are in all day will have more applied after lunch! ☀️☀️
