It is without saying that COVID-19 pandemic has created the largest disruption of education systems in history, affecting nearly 1.6 billion learners. The crisis left children learning from home with the support from their parents. How hard this was for all parties. I couldn't help but feel I wanted to get involved! With Children returning back to Education it is without question that learning opportunities have been missing.

In July 2020, I launched The Learning Box to support young children's early education by creating boxes full of fun and interactive resources. The learning boxes have been carefully designed by myself to be age appropriate for children 2 -5 years old. The resources correspond with the Early Years Framework to support with Phonics and Maths. Each Learning Box comes with guidance for adults on how to use the resources and extend learning through games, role-play and books. The Learning Box is designed to inspire fun and interactive learning.

I designed, created and run The Learning Box myself as well as working full-time as a Nanny. It is extremely hard work but I am incredibly proud of The Learning Box for supporting so many families throughout the past 5 months. Please vote for me (Chelsea Mccarthy-Widger). I am absolutely delighted to be nominated for this award.

With children's education suffering dramatically within the pandemic I wanted to do something to help! I designed The Learning Box in July to support young children's early education by creating fun and interactive resources which are age appropriate and corospond with the early years framework. Today is the launch of The Learning Box Advent Calendars 😁👏 I'm super proud of these and very excited to share them with you. And I think the children are going to LOVE them!

Our amazing advent calendar boxes contain SOOOO many fun activities with the lead up to Christmas. Featuring educational activities around Stars (Space), Birds, Bugs, Recycling, the life cycle of a Caterpillar, Telling the time, Dinosaurs, Butterflies, 10 Christmas activities and much much more.

All 24 gifts are packed individually in a Christmas paper bag (with a numbered sticker) and tied in a Christmas bow!
