Wowsers...what an action-packed day! The actors worked so hard. Today we focused on mime, movement and unarmed stage combat!! The actors all pulled off a very convincing stage slap & hair pull! Which we then used when staging the Lover's quarrel scene in A Midsummer Night's Dream! We also had great fun learning about Acids & Alkaline before creating our very own Magic Love Potions!! We hope you all enjoyed yourselves and we look forward to seeing you all again soon, keep shining! X

What a fabulous start to our Midsummer Nights Dream themed summer camp! We explored characters and the famous scene when cheeky Puck turns Bottom into a donkey! We had lots of fun learning new techniques and learning the science behind A Midsummer...we finished finding the purple flower for Oberon and making our own dried potions to take home :) Can't wait for more Midsummer fun tomorrow. Evening all, I hope you have had a great few weeks and your magic beans are growing well!! I would like to run a summer drama camp with a splash of science fun thrown in but would like to check availability before confirming with the church. I would like to run the camp on Tuesday 6th and Wednesday 7th August between 10.30 and 2.30. Please let me know if you would be interested. Best wishes Emma X

What a wonderful day of drama & science! Today we worked on our storytelling techniques to bring Roald Dahld's version of Cinderella to life. We used freeze frames, physical theatre and narration to create our mini scenes. In the afternoon we made aeroplanes as an alternative form of transportation to the ball! We made yummy ice cream to eat at the ball and learnt about chromatography to figure out who wrote the secret letter to the Prince! We had so much fun and I can't wait to do more Drama camps in the summer!! Enjoy the rest of your Easter break. Best wishes, Emma & Steven X

Soooo good to be back!! What a fun filled first day of Easter camp!! We explored drama techniques focusing on physical expression using our theme for today....Jack & the Beanstalk from Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes. We had fun in the afternoon creating science experiments based on our theme. We finished the day performing our favorite scenes from Jack & the Beanstalk. Can't wait for tomorrow, sleep well actors! Don't forget to put your magic beans in a dark place X
