I’m no food connoisseur, but we decided to see what all the hype was about with Belvilla at Brackley and have to say, it did not disappoint! Absolutely fantastic, from the service to the food!

I personally really wanted to give their Sri Lankan range a try as it was something a little different on offer in Brackley. I went for the Negambo Style King Fish Curry with a papadam and a few slices of crispy paratha bread. If you like spicy food, this will certainly satisfy those taste buds as it did mine, it was fantastic!

If you’ve not given this place a go yet, please head on down and support one of our local restaurants, part of Limes Farm in Farthinghoe.

Thank you Belvilla, we’ll definitely be back for sure! 🙌

𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐕𝐄.

I wasn’t always fit.
I wasn’t always a Personal Trainer.
I wasn’t always an endurance athlete.
And I certainly never thought I’d become an 𝐈𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐌𝐀𝐍.

I know what it feels like to be overweight.
To be unhealthy.
To look at yourself and know something needs to change… but not quite know where to start.

My journey wasn’t built on motivation every day.

It was built on sacrifice.
Setbacks.
Discipline.
Bad days.
Starting again.
And slowly learning to 𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐕𝐄 in the person I could become.

That journey eventually took me from the person on the left… to becoming a Personal Trainer, endurance athlete and an Ironman.

And that experience matters.

Because I don’t preach change from a textbook.
𝐈’𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐭.

I know how difficult that first step can feel because I had to take it too.

So if you look at other people’s transformations and think “I could never do that…”

You’re wrong.

That belief is already inside you.

Sometimes it’s buried under years of doubt, fear and telling yourself you can’t.

𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟.

And if you don’t believe in yourself yet?

I’ll believe in you until you do.

Your journey has to start somewhere.

Why not here?

Feedback like this is exactly why I love what I do 🙌

Sports massage for me isn’t about just going through the motions. It’s about understanding the person in front of me, looking at the bigger picture and trying to make a genuine difference.

Really pleased to see the progress Nicola Olliffe has made and even better knowing it’s having an impact on everyday life.

And now moving onto Level 4 Sports Massage, I’m able to take that even further with more in-depth assessment, targeted treatment and a greater understanding of injuries, movement and recovery.

Whether you train, compete, have a physical job or simply want to move and feel better, sports massage can be for everyone.

Thank you for trusting me and for the amazing review 💛🖤

MOJAWA vs SHOKZ | FIRST IMPRESSIONS

This isn’t my final review and I’m not picking a winner yet.

I’ve used Shokz UK bone conduction headphones through years of training, including two previous models before moving to the OpenSwim. Mojawa have an established benchmark to go up against.

A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE

I’ve used bone conduction for years, but following my recent hearing loss, this technology has become far more valuable to me. I’m still testing as an endurance athlete, but now from a very different perspective too.

FIT & SOUND

Both are comfortable, lightweight and secure. Shokz sit slightly more snug against the bone for me.

Shokz also seem to offer slightly more volume, while Mojawa possibly have the edge on clarity. Both have apps allowing EQ adjustment.

RUNNING

This is where Mojawa have caught my attention.

Shokz give me the music experience I’ve relied on for years. Mojawa add training functionality, including HR feedback while running, which is a brilliant extra.

I’ve compared this with my Garmin chest strap and the readings aren’t always aligned. I’d like the option to customise Mojawa HR zones to match my established Garmin zones.

SWIMMING

Still to be tested, so no verdict yet.

Both use onboard MP3 music for swimming. It gets around Bluetooth limitations underwater, but manually transferring MP3s feels dated in the age of Spotify and streaming.

This is where Mojawa’s use of OpenAI gives me interest in their development potential.

Imagine authorised Spotify playlists syncing before swimming for offline playback, with AI adding smarter music management, personalised coaching and training feedback. It would need streaming provider integration, but that’s an exciting direction.

FIRST IMPRESSION

Shokz are my established benchmark. Mojawa potentially have the bigger development ceiling.

But potential doesn’t win a comparison.

Bike testing, wind noise, longer runs, swimming, battery, charging, HR accuracy, comfort and durability are still to come.

No winner. No scores. Just first impressions training with both.

To be continued…
