So, writing this is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I think that in the back of my mind I always knew that this was extremely likely to happen, but I have decided that Mini Strikers will be no more for the foreseeable future.

For those of you that know Mini Strikers has 3 parts to its business – Children’s Nurseries about 60%, community classes about 30% and schools 10%. For me to be viable, I need to be running at pretty much at 100%.
The children’s nurseries seem no nearer to having me back in their settings than they were 6 months ago, the community classes would be almost impossible to run properly with the COVID regulations set upon village halls and group sizes would be smaller. The schools are equally in no position currently to have me back before October half term at the earliest.

Even if these classes were to start running again there is still so much insecurity and how do we know that there is not going to be local or national lockdowns to put me right back to square one.

I have been working in a new job since April and have decided that this is the way forward for me, it may be the wrong decision but at the moment the one I am going to stick with.

That does not mean that I won’t miss Mini Strikers, I can assure you that I will. I have had 13 years of great fun and have met some amazing children and their families.
I feel that Mini Strikers has really helped the children in lots of different ways, I have seen them grow and blossom and go on to represent teams at local, county, district, and international level.

Thank you to everybody involved and I wish the best for you and your families in the future. Just remember I passionately believe a healthy child is a happy child.

Dear all,

I hope that you are all well, making the most of the sunshine when you can and even maybe getting the chance to go on holiday.

This is just a quick update on Mini Strikers and where I am currently.

As most of you are aware all my classes revolve around children and establishments that they are familiar with from schools to private nurseries to scouts huts and youth centres.

Quite understandably some of these establishments are not open yet and the ones that are reluctant to have outside contractors in.

It would not be financially viable for me to run one class here and one class there, I need to wait until they are all up and running.

Even classes that are run outside will need risk assessments undertaken, registers and disclaimers signed as well as the constant sanitisation of equipment.

I haven’t even mentioned the attempt to social distance the children which is going to be tough.

Considering all of the above I have decided that I cannot yet resume Mini Strikers, it frightens me that I don’t know if and when we will be able to return.

I hope that this makes sense and that you all understand my decision.

Even though this post was inevitable it doesn't make it any easier to type. Due to the guidance given by the NHS and the Government Mini Strikers classes will be indefinitely postponed.
This horrible disease has affected all small businesses and will continue to do so for some time yet. With no idea how long it will go on for makes it even harder to cope with than it already is.
It is tough for me personally that I may not see many of my children reach the end of their mini strikers journey and the chance to wish them all the best in their future path.
I would like to thank all the children and families for their support and I wish every one of you good health and that you stay safe in the forthcoming months.

Some of you may be aware that the term has finished early and those of you that paid upfront are in credit by a couple of weeks. I am happy to sort out these credits, if you would like to private message me your bank details I can do this ASAP, or if you would rather not do this then just send me your address and I can drop in when in the area.

Just a quick update from Mini Strikers. At present I am planning to continue my classes, I am monitoring the situation and am more than likely to base any decision in line with NHS Guidelines and local schools.
Like most I would ask that if you are showing any symptoms of the Corona virus then to please stay away for the suggested timescale of 7 days.
