Bower Busy Bees ELC

We had a super work day at Bower Busy Bees on Saturday!
Garance and George from Dunnet Community Forest came out to help us with some of the forest area next to the tree - clearing some of the lower branches to allow regeneration underneath and creating a fence with some of the branches!

We also had parents working hard fixing the picnic bench, sandpit and other bits in the forest area and strimming and weeding to help keep our forest looking lovely!

Today we took the bus to dunnet Forest to meet back up with Garance the forest development officer! 🌳
The children had an amazing time pond dipping , exploring the trees and hunting for butterflies, the newt was a particular favourite so when we got back to nursery the children painted their own🦎

We can’t thank Garance enough for having us, all of us had such a lovely morning 😁

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who came out to sports day this afternoon. 🏃🏻

It was absolutely amazing to see so many families supporting their wonderful children and lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves together including our special visitors from the Laurandy Centre, we’re very proud to be a part of our wonderful busy bees community!

Thankyou for a lovely afternoon and well done to all the children(and mums and dads) for joining in! 🐝

We had a very special and exciting visit from Garance the forest development Officer today! She came out to help us make a start at trimming back and tidying up our trees for our forest development project, we are working on expanding our outdoor space to move completely over to our forest 😁
The children all helped chop and thin the branches using the tools and then used their muscles to pull all of the branches into a pile to keep the area tidy 🌳 🪏

Our topic so farm this term has been farms in response to how much the children love watching our neighbour farmer feeding their sheep 🐑

We’ve made a tractor , built animal pens , done tyre rubbing and colourful paint tracks , ‘sheared’ some sheep , watered our growing crops, enjoyed some animal shaped snacks and had lots of chats about what farmers do for us and how farms work 🧑🏼‍🌾

Hello! That’s all emails sent out to those who have space at Busy Bees for the 2026/27 session. Please keep an eye out for emails and get back with confirmation as soon as possible 😊

We are sorry to those we haven’t been able to accommodate - I will email the next few on our waiting list in the coming weeks about preferences should space become available.

If you’d like us to remove your child from our waiting list please do let me know. Equally, if you’d have a little one and would like a space at Busy Bees, please let us know as soon as possible to have the best chance of getting a space. Priority is always given to those who will be feeding into the lovely Bower Primary School, so if this is an option for you please let me know 😊

Siblings are given next priority, and then those who would like most days in the setting.

If you’d ever like to pop out and visit the nursery before adding your child to the waiting list, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We love to meet our prospective families!

Before the Easter holidays we visited the Laurandy Centre for an Easter egg hunt and some games 🐣

The children had such a great time there with the Easter bunny and their service users , thanks so much for having us again this year ❤️
