Postgraduate Summer Shows 2026
14 August – 7 November 2026, AUB Campus

Aniruddha Maiti: one of our international students at this year’s Postgraduate Graduation Show with his project: Ecologies of Return- Osprey Reintroduction in Poole Harbour. The project documents the human infrastructures that sustains the reintroduction of
ospreys to Poole Harbour, such as, hacking pens, nest platforms, tagging practices and monitoring systems. It asks what wildlife photography conceals when it presents nature as separate from human agency. Working primarily from publicly accessible vantage points and informed by interviews with a conservation officers and visitors, the project presents an honest representation of the reintroduction process.

Postgraduate Summer Shows 2026
14 August – 7 November 2026, AUB Campus. Saba Hassani one of our international students with her work entitled My mom always says: This too shall pass.
This self-portrait series was created during four months of an internet blackout in my home country; this self-portrait series reflects on the emotional impact of being forced to disconnect from loved ones. Through self-representation, the work traces a gradual journey from isolation and uncertainty toward acceptance, resilience, and inner peace.

Postgraduate Summer Shows 2026
14 August – 7 November 2026, AUB Campus Mike Gibson one of our home students two short series: Title: Alien Voices. These images show the underlying voice of buildings and architecture. Function and scale has been stripped here to show the underlying shape, pattern and texture of these constructions. They also show how the constructs play with and interact with light. Here, photography is giving us the opportunity to understand the inner and alien voices of these constructs and making us rethink how we look at them. Thousands of people pass these buildings everyday without really seeing them.

Title: Timeless. These are part of a sequence telling the story of a deserted area of dunes and beaches, surrounded by the sea and exposed all weathers. The land is example of natural ground and human arfetfacts evolving together. As nature takes its course, the dunes and grasses thrive and show their beauty. The abandoned barges rust and rot, gathering yet more graffitti. Temporary signs of man are removed every day by wind and tides. The barges will take hundreds of years to become consumed. Photography captures a coexistence that is almost timeless.

Postgraduate Summer Shows 2026
14 August – 7 November 2026, AUB Campus

Aurélie Demagistri one of our international students at this year’s Postgraduate Graduation Show with her project: Made You Look; The project confronts the male gaze women face daily. Across five editorial scenes: eating, exercising, doing laundry, singing and sunbathing, oversized cardboard props and clashing colours turn discomfort into absurd spectacle. In post-production, scanning, painting, and collage layer each image. This draws on a feminist tradition where montage deconstructs and reassembles the female form, transforming dominant visual culture into an aesthetic of resistance.
