A Busy Day of Learning in Early Years ✨🚒

Our Prep pupils enjoyed a fantastic day of learning and discovery with a visit to Discovery Village, followed by a special visit from a local firefighter.

Through imaginative play and real-life experiences, pupils explored different roles within the community, learned about fire safety and had the opportunity to ask lots of thoughtful questions.

A huge thank you to our firefighter visitor for taking the time to inspire our youngest learners and help bring their learning to life.

A wonderful day filled with curiosity, excitement and hands-on learning 💙

BCS Prep Summer Fair 2026 ☀️🎡

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for this year's BCS Prep Summer Fair.

The event was packed with fun, from bouncy castles, face painting and games to delicious food, ice cream and a fantastic range of pupil-run stalls. It was wonderful to see so many families, pupils, staff and friends of the school coming together to enjoy the evening.

A special thank you to our Parents' Association, volunteers and local businesses whose generosity and support helped make the event such a success, including the incredible prizes donated for our Summer Prize Draw.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event. It was a fantastic celebration of our school community and a wonderful way to start the summer season 💙

Year 10 Geography Field Trip to Bristol 🌍

Our Year 10 GCSE Geography pupils enjoyed a fantastic two-day field trip to Bristol, bringing their classroom learning to life through first-hand experience of urban regeneration.

Exploring sites around the Harbourside, pupils carried out questionnaires, environmental quality surveys, field sketches and pedestrian counts, developing valuable fieldwork skills while investigating Bristol's regeneration projects.

Highlights included a harbour boat tour, visits to key regeneration areas such as Millennium Square and Finzel’s Reach, and an evening of mini golf at Cabot Circus.

Throughout the trip, students were a credit to the school, demonstrating confidence, maturity and excellent engagement with members of the public.

A brilliant opportunity to experience geography beyond the classroom 💙

BCS Senior School Presents: Oliver Twist 🎭

Join us for this year's Senior School summer production of Oliver Twist, a timeless story of courage, friendship and hope.

Follow Oliver's journey from the harsh conditions of a Victorian workhouse to the bustling streets of London, where he encounters colourful characters, unexpected challenges and discovers the truth about his past.

BCS Achieves School Games Gold Mark Award 🏅

We are delighted to have been awarded the School Games Gold Mark Award, recognising our commitment to sport, physical activity and pupil wellbeing.

Supporting Sophia at Wimborne Folk Festival 🎶

This Saturday, the next generation takes to the stage at the Wimborne Folk Festival, and we're delighted to see BCS pupil Sophia performing as part of the line-up.

🎹 Sophia's performance: 4:50pm – 5:10pm

Sophia, a Year 9 Music Scholar, is a talented pianist and singer who loves bringing pop and modern music to life. She also writes her own songs and enjoys connecting with audiences through performance.

Festival of Sport 2026

Join us on Tuesday 23rd June as pupils from Brownsea, Solent, Purbeck and Studland go head-to-head in an exciting afternoon of sporting competition.

From athletics and team sports to individual achievements, Festival of Sport is a celebration of determination, teamwork and House spirit across the BCS community.
