🌟 Golden Time at Talbot Primary School! 🌟

Every Friday, the whole school comes together for half an hour of Golden Time, where children get to choose a club they would like to take part in. It’s a wonderful opportunity for children from different year groups to mix, make new friends and enjoy something they love! 💛

This week, we are looking at Board Games Club with Mrs Hughes with children from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 getting together for some friendly competition, teamwork and plenty of fun! 🎲♟️

And this is just the beginning! Throughout the year, we’ll be showing you lots of exciting Golden Time clubs, including Drawing, Keep Fit, Ball Skills, Gardening Club, Origami, Clay Modelling and many, many more! 🎨🌱⚽️

We can’t wait to see what the children choose each term and watch our Talbot family grow even closer through Golden Time! 💙

❤️ First Aid Training in Year 5! ❤️

This week, our Year 5 children took part in some really important first aid training, learning what to do in a range of unexpected situations.

The children learnt how to respond if someone stopped breathing or their heart stopped beating, as well as what to do if someone had a burn, collapsed, cut themselves or broken a bone.

Learning these essential skills helps children develop the confidence to stay calm, think clearly and know what to do when faced with an emergency.

We believe it’s so important to equip our children with practical life skills and teach them how to handle unexpected situations — skills that could potentially help save somebody’s life. 🩹❤️👏

🌾 A huge thank you to all of our wonderful Talbot families! 🌾

We have been completely blown away by the incredible generosity shown for our Harvest Assembly. This has been a bumper year for food donations, and we are so grateful to every single person who donated. ❤️

All of your generous donations have been taken straight to Kinson & West Howe Foodbank, where they will help support local families in our community.

A special thank you to Vicky and everyone at the food bank for all that you do, and of course, a massive thank you to our amazing Talbot families for once again showing just how caring and generous our school community is and for Miss Heather for organising so brilliantly.

🌾❤️ Thank you, Talbot! ❤️🌾

🌟 Congratulations to our Head Students!

Last week, our incredible year 6 students showed real bravery as they stood in front of the whole school and delivered their speeches, explaining why they would make excellent Head Students.

The whole school — including our staff — had the opportunity to vote, and it was an incredibly close result!

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to Peyton and Arthur, who have been chosen as our new Head Students! 👏🏼⭐️ We know you will represent Talbot brilliantly and be fantastic role models for everyone.

The vote was so close that this year we decided we couldn’t choose just a couple of deputies… so we have seven! 😂

Congratulations to our Deputy Head Students:

⭐️ Sammy
⭐️ Parker
⭐️ Lottie
⭐️ Ruben
⭐️ Marianka
⭐️ Maciej
⭐️ Raagvi

You all did an absolutely magnificent job. Standing up in front of the whole school and sharing your ideas takes real confidence and courage, and you should be incredibly proud of yourselves.

We are so, so proud of every one of you. 💙⭐️

Congratulations, Peyton, Arthur and our wonderful team of deputies! 🎉

Talbot Primary — leading, inspiring and representing our school. 💙⭐️
