Henry Moore inspired sculptures created in year 6 today by 6EC and 6SR. The children really enjoyed working with clay again. If they hadn’t done pottery club with Mrs Curtis and Mrs Prout in golden time, then the last time they had used clay was in year 3 when they made pots! Well done year 6!

Congratulations to our Year 6 children on completing your SATs! You have all worked incredibly hard and we are so very proud of every single one of you.
Remember, SATs do not tell you how good you are at sport, how kind you are as a person, how artistic you are, how funny you are, or how loving and caring you are.
At Talbot, we think you are all wonderful, and trying your best is all anyone can ever ask for — and that is exactly what you all did. Well done, Year 6!
Year 4 have been learning about the features of a river, they paired up to create some fantastic posters!

A big congratulations to members of the year 4 and 5 football team who played in the Hamwic Greenway partnership football finals held at Hamworthy County Ground this afternoon. Talbot won all 6 matches scoring over 20 goals and only conceding 1 goal during the whole tournament. Fantastic team work and work ethic on show. A big well done to Elliott who captained the team today. Good luck to the footballers playing football competitions over the weekend. Please update us on any successes by Instagram DM and we will pop it on our stories. Well done boys, so proud of you.

Year 6 had a culinary feast today, where we opened up “Talbot’sTandoori”
The children did a wonderful job…peeling, chopping and cooking a delicious vegetable curry! Some lucky teachers even got some whilst they were teaching their maths lessons. Brilliant surprise. Took the sting out of fractions in year 4! 🤣 well done year 6. It was delicious!
Red Nose Day!! this year Talbot held a best joke competition. Each child had to think of the funniest joke to try and make Mrs Curtis laugh. The winners from each class came into her office to tell her their joke and to try and get a giggle out of her!

Massive well done to the year 5 football team who played in the AFC Bournemouth six a side tournament on Friday 16th January 2026. The year 5 team played a year up for experience with all the other teams players being older than Talbot’s team but after topping the group out of 10 teams, Talbot made to the semi finals and beat Winton Primary School. After a narrow 2-1 to set up a final against Ringwood. After an incredible effort and journey the final was a step too far and Ringwood won 2-0 in a ebb and flow game. Talbot can be proud as they were one game away from playing at a premier league ground as a reward for the winners. Some fantastic invidividual performances but the fighting spirit was there to be seen. Two games in the tournament Talbot were 1-0 down and fought back to win 1-2. Well done to the year 5 team.
Listen up one and all. Our head students in year six have an announcement to make and they’d really like your help!
