What an incredible year of fundraising!

As another academic year comes to a close, we want to say… WOW! What a phenomenal year it has been!

It’s been packed full of FUN, lot’s of exciting events for the children to enjoy, while raising an IMPRESSIVE amount of money to support the school and enhance the children’s education.

Thank you to all of our families, staff, donors, sponsors, and local businesses for your generosity, enthusiasm, and continued support throughout the year. We couldn’t have achieved this without you 🙏🏻

We are incredibly proud to share that this academic year we have:

🧡 Raised an amazing £27,300
💚 Invested £20,699 into enriching resources and opportunities for the children
💙 Created memorable experiences for the children and families
💜 Continue to strengthen our relationships with families and the wider community

One of this year’s biggest highlights has been the completion of our new outdoor play areas, which have been enormously popular and are well loved by the children 🤩

Looking ahead, after the summer we’ll be working closely with the school to continue enhancing the outdoor spaces, including completing the exciting new sensory garden 🪴

Together, we are making a lasting difference to the children’s education, and we are so grateful for your ongoing support.

🌈 Colour Run - THANK YOU 🌈
WOW!! What a tremendous amount of FUN we had at our very first Colour Run! 🤩

The children had an absolute blast tackling our fun-filled obstacle course, racing through clouds of colourful powder in every colour of the rainbow, enjoying the disco and foam spray, and keeping cool with the constant stream of water pistols 💦 (and a few buckets!) and concluded with an ice pop treat!

It really was an incredible afternoon and the perfect way to celebrate the end of the school year. There were smiles, laughter, and colourful children (and staff!) everywhere!

Thank you to the teachers for demonstrating the course and getting stuck in throughout the event for the children’s enjoyment, and to our amazing friends at Aspire-Life for helping us keep the fun flowing 🥳

Thank you to DJ Daz of Blitz Disco for keeping the children entertained with all the tunes and for all the foam fun! 🪩🫧

A huge THANK YOU to all of our wonderful volunteers who helped make the event such a fantastic success and bringing lots of joy to the children. We couldn’t have done it without you! ❤️

We hope all of the children had an unforgettable experience in whatever way they felt comfortable with and went home with lots of happy memories (and maybe a little bit of colourful powder too! 😉).

The event raised an amazing £1,272, which will be used for our upcoming project after the summer to further enhance the outdoor areas.

⭐️ Welcoming New Friends ⭐️
Today we supported the school and provided refreshments, uniform and welcomed our new families during their play and stay session.

Whilst our new parents/carers enjoyed a cuppa and a biscuit we shared with them the work that the FSK do 🍪☕️

Our aim is to support the school with funding to enhance the education of the children and provide an enriching school environment. Throughout each academic year the FSK run a variety of fundraising events to achieve this.

To ensure these events run successfully, we really do rely on parent/carer volunteers. Without your essential support, we cannot run these events. Previous experience is not necessary, and any support is very welcome and appreciated! 🥰

We understand volunteering isn’t always an option for everyone, however there are many other ways you can support us.

⭐️ Do you own a business or work for an organisation that might be able to offer sponsorship support for our events?
⭐️ Does you company offer grants or match funding?
⭐️ Can you kindly donate a raffle prize?
⭐️ Can you join some of our families and offer a monthly DD donation?

🌈 Colour Run 🌈
⭐️ IMPORTANT INFORMATION ⭐️

We are super excited for our first Colour Run, taking place during the school day this Friday! 🤩


❤️ Everyone Can Join the Fun! ❤️
This is an inclusive event, and ALL children will be invited to take part in the obstacle course.

Every child will receive:
✨ A white t-shirt
🕶️ Protective sunglasses
🏅 A special colour run medal


Each year group will have 10 minutes to enjoy the fun-filled obstacle course. Children can choose whether to have a go at all of it, just some of it, or simply do what feels right for them. Children can choose to complete the course once, or if they’re having too much fun and aren’t colourful enough yet, they can keep going around as many times as they like!

If your child has “opted out” of the colour powder elements, they will be invited to enjoy the obstacle course WITHOUT the colour powder, prior to when the colour powder throwing commences.

Should your child decide to not participate in the obstacle course, that’s absolutely okay! They can be an amazing cheerleader and encourage their friends image.png, dance at the disco image.png, or grab a water pistol and have lots of fun squirting their friends with water as they go around the course! image.png

In addition to the obstacle course, if you would like your child to participate in the colourful powder fun, parents/carers must opt in by purchasing a ticket and registering permission.

💚 Making Sure Everyone Can Take Part 💚
The FSK are committed to making this event accessible to all families. Funded tickets are available for children who may otherwise be unable to participate due to financial circumstances. Please contact the school office in confidence if you would like further information.


💜 Important Information 💜
Throughout the afternoon, school staff will monitor children and take their classes for breaks in the shade, if needed.

Water bottles will be taken outside (children will be responsible for their own water bottle), so please ensure they are clearly labelled, and do remember sun cream and hats.

As a treat to keep children cool and hydrated, we are planning to give children an ice pop – please let FSK know if you do not want your child to have an ice pop.

Children should arrive to school in their PE kit as usual. They will change into their white t-shirts after lunch. The children will wear their PE bottoms, socks and trainers.

Please note white or light-coloured trainers / hats might also become stained with colour - we recommend not sending them in wearing their best trainers and hats!

Children must wear protective eyewear for the colour powder elements, and all children will be issued with sunglasses. If your child would prefer to wear goggles or prescription sunglasses, please send them in on the day and ensure they are clearly labelled. Children that wear prescription glasses are okay to wear those as an alternative to sunglasses and optional over glasses will be made available, if required 😎
