What a fantastic term we've had! From heatwaves and World Cups to sports days, adventure trips and lots of fantastic learning, we have finished the year on such a high, proving that Kingsleigh really is a school 'where everyone can be great'.

We want to send a special goodbye to our incredible Year 6s as they head off to secondary school. Go out into the world and show them how great you can be, we will miss you all so much! We are also looking forward to welcoming our new Reception starters into the Kingsleigh family this September.

Finally, to all of our wonderful families: thank you for your incredible support. Enjoy your summer break, make lots of special memories and stay safe.

High Energy & Big Smiles at Sports Day! 👟✨

Our Year 5 & 6 children gave it their absolute all at Sports Day! From sprinting across the finish line to cheering on their teammates, the determination and house spirit on display were incredible.
Huge thanks to Coach James and Mr Bainton for organising a fantastic event through all age groups, and to all our amazing families for coming out to show your support. We love seeing our school community come together! 🙌🦁

Local libraries are ready and waiting to help our children dive into some fantastic books over the holidays. It is completely FREE to join, and it's a wonderful way to keep up those vital reading skills, boost vocabulary, and foster a genuine love for books.

Our Year 4 Grammar Detectives have been hard at work! 🕵️‍♀️

Our children have been exploring how to use different tenses accurately to make their writing even more powerful. It takes a lot of focus to spot the difference between past and present errors, but their determination was fantastic.
Ask your clever Year 4 children if they can spot any incorrect tenses in a book tonight! 📚✨

We were so lucky to welcome the wonderful team from South Coast Adventures Ltd to our school for an unforgettable time of outdoor learning and physical challenges! 🗺️✨
Our children had an absolute blast exploring the mobile cave system. It was incredible to see so much bravery on display as they stepped inside, worked as a team to navigate the tunnels, and happily jumped into the ball pit pool. Experiences like this are fantastic for building spatial awareness and problem-solving, but most of all, they show the children just how much they can achieve when they step out of their comfort zones. 🔦🧗
Our older children then reached new heights as they tackled the climbing wall. Facing the heights and putting their arm muscles to work was a masterclass in determination and mindset. It was brilliant to watch them build physical confidence and gross motor skills, cheered on by a fantastic crowd of supportive peers on the ground. 💪
To wrap up the adventures, the children tried their hand at archery, practicing their aim and mastering a brand-new skill. Archery requires immense focus and patience, and the children demonstrated brilliant concentration and wonderful sportsmanship throughout. 🏹🎯

Providing a broad range of unique sporting experiences is a key part of our commitment to healthy, active lifestyles and personal development. We are incredibly proud of the resilience, teamwork, and 'can-do' attitudes on display. A huge thank you to South Coast Adventures for such a rewarding experience! 🗺️ 🧗 💪 🏹

Our local libraries are running an amazing FREE Summer Reading Challenge to inspire children to discover the joy of reading all summer long! 🌞📖

Not only is it great fun, but it’s also proven to help children build confidence and develop a lifelong love of books.

🏆 There’s an extra incentive for our school too! The school that shows the biggest improvement in participation compared to last year will have the chance to win an amazing trophy.
