Welcome to West Hants Bridge School, run by EBTA Accredited Bridge Teacher Chris Mower. Bridge is a truly unique game, mixing strategy with skill in a way no other card game does. It involves playing with a partner so it’s sociable and is incredibly rewarding to learn. The courses we run cater for all abilities; from people who’ve never picked up a pack of cards, all the way through to experienced players who want to develop their skill and technique. There are 5 Steps to our course structure at West Hants Bridge School. Over the 5 Steps we can take you from beginner to intermediate and beyond. We also offer private lessons for people wanting more direct learning. Our classes used to be all face-to-face, however since COVID-19 we have embraced Zoom video conferencing. Using 2 popular bridge websites alongside the live or recorded lessons, people have found they can play more hands and take better notes while still keeping safe in these uncertain times. BACK TO BASICS REFRESHER - One Off Lesson on 'Successful Overcalling'

Where: Zoom or Order A Recording
When: Saturday 30th November - 10:00-12:15

The session will run through the key basics of Successful Overcalling, including The Simple Overcall, Reasons to Overcall, How to Overcall, Bidding to the Level of the Fit, The Unassuming Cue Bid, Responding to an Overcall, Common Mistakes and Practice Hand Examples.

It will be ideal for newer players or more experienced players wanting a ‘back to basics’ Refresher!
