Weekly workshops for all abilities and age ranges to work on different projects and develop your skills 🧵

Thursdays - 5pm-6:30pm Cosplay Building
Design, create and stitch your own cosplay costumes over 6 weeks
£10 per session in cash
Ages 12+

Fridays -5:45pm-7:45pm Memory pillows
Create a Memory pillow from your own special, meaningful fabric, to remember loved ones or special events.
£10 per session in cash
Ages 12+

Saturdays - 2pm-4pm Sewing Skills
Come and learn basic and essential sewing skills with hands on practice
£10 per session in cash

3 weeks to go for the Clothes Swap Fundraiser!

We are hosting a clothes swap fundraiser to raise money for the Increase the Peace Festival ☮️👗🔁👚✨

Date: Saturday 27th June
Time: 9-11am
Location: The Garden Rooms Cafe, 118 Haviland Road

Bring items of clothing to swap, pay as you feel on exit and any leftover clothes will be donated to local charities 🫂

Would be great to have clothes for all - men and larger ladies are often underrepresented, so if that’s you - please consider coming along/dropping items to donate 🥰

Food and beverages will be provided by Grounded Community 🤩

The Garden Rooms Cafe shares its building with The Pantry and Bournemouth Foodbank so any non-perishable food items will also be warmly received 🥫✨

Bookings are now live !

Please note HAF eligible families can only book 16 spaces under new DFE guidience, please do not exceed this limit. If additional days are needed please contact Poppy as you will need to book full days :)

Any child with a 1:1 has been contacted about Summer availability.

Dates

Our Summer Holiday Club will run Monday to Friday from 27th July – 28th August 2026.

Session Times

Regular childcare hours: 8:00am–5:00pm

HAF-funded session times: 10:00am–3:00pm

Spaces Available

We have:

20 HAF-funded spaces available each day, allocated by BCP Council

10 full-day paid spaces available at £30 per day

Please note that all spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

HAF-funded spaces are limited to 16 sessions per child over the summer period. We understand that some families may require additional hours or flexibility, so please contact us to discuss your circumstances.

Lunches

Hot lunches are available free of charge for HAF-funded children.

Lunches can also be purchased for children attending full-day paid sessions at a cost of £5 per meal.

Activities

Our full activity planner will be released during July.

We are planning:

At least two day trips across the summer

Weekly trips to the park and beach

Creative arts, crafts, games, workshops, and outdoor activities throughout the programme

Childcare Vouchers & Payments

We accept most childcare vouchers.

Sessions can be booked and paid for up to 24 hours before attendance, subject to availability.

SEND & Additional Support

If your child currently receives 1:1 support in school, or you feel they may require additional support for SEND or SEMH needs, please contact us so we can discuss how we may be able to arrange suitable 1:1 support.

These supported sessions are often available:

10:00am–12:00pm

1:00pm–3:00pm

Or full-day support from 10:00am–3:00pm for some children and workshops

We aim to make our sessions as inclusive and supportive as possible for every child.

Another wonderful week of our Holiday Arts Club🎨

We create weaved god eye crafts, tried still life drawing , experimented with pastels and charcoals and create mini bees and colllaged Honeycombe shapes🐝

We all had a wonderful week and thank you to our amazing team, children and families!!

Wednesday 27th - spaghetti meatballs with garlic bread

Thursday 28th -tuna and sweetcorn pasta bake with cucumber sticks

Friday 29th -chilli con carne with rice and green beans

If your child is attending the full day spaces please provide them with a packed lunch unless other otherwise discussed with the manager. All children will receive breakfast juice and a snack throughout the day.

Please can all children for our holiday club be provided with a refillable water bottle, a hat as it will be warm and any additional snacks or food if you feel they will not enjoy what is provided.

The weather will be very warm next week and we do have spray on suncream for all children if you would like your child to use a different kind please provide them with one from home. 🙂 ☀️
