Important and exciting announcement !!

As some of you already know Creative Kids Centre is transitioning into a new era. Creative Kids Centre is transitioning to become an incorporated charity, and taking on a new name: Honeycombe Arts Hub.

Named after our beautiful Boscombe beach, Honeycombe Arts Hub will be supporting young and emerging creatives at all stages of their journey.

You can also find us on Facebook and Instagram Honeycombe Arts Hub so please go and follow us !

This change has been made possible thanks to the generous support of The National Lottery Community Fund, and it marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our centre, our team and most importantly for every child and young person we work with.

You can see our new look, and find out more about what's coming up, at honeycombeartshub.org.uk.

Our number will remain 07932772905 and our emails will be confirmed asap :) The old addresses [email protected] will remain active for the next 6 months to support transition.
We will also be remaining at our centre within the Sovereign Shopping Centre so keep an eye out for a new look :)

What's coming up

Alongside the new name, we're growing what we offer, including:
● A new Media Centre, offering
film, audio, photography, design
and digital storytelling.

● Project 14–22, giving older
young people experience,
mentoring and routes into study
and work in the creative
industries.

● A Youth Advisory Board, putting
young people's voices at the
heart of decisions we make.

● Expanded Drawing & Talking therapeutic sessions, offering more 1:1 and small-group creative
wellbeing support.

● Giggles and Wiggles at Honeycombe Arts Hub baby group starting Tuesday 15th September

Thank you for being part of our story so far. We're genuinely excited for what's next, and we hope you'll feel that same excitement as you see the centre grow into Honeycombe Arts Hub.

Our little DJs experimented yesterday with GarageBand, creating their own tracks 🎵.

They also created their own business and presented it to our Dragons. We had all sorts of businesses, from squishies to coat trousers to a cheap airline run by volunteers 😂

We’re at Creative Kids Centre today (23rd Aug, 12pm-2pm) with leaflets promoting our incredible Teens Wellbeing Event next week, funded by SNG - you’ll find us at Unit 4, Sovereign Centre answering questions and providing more information 🤩

Our Youth Committee programmed the Wellbeing Day as part of Increase The Peace - choosing everything from speakers to sensory activities & board games. A gentle day of relaxation for teens by teens ad with young people in charge.

Squidge and Pop are bringing mindfulness and sensory entertainment through bubbleology, and Patrick Neveling from Bournemouth University is chatting about building confidence and what’s next.

Can't wait for Wellbeing day - Sunday 30th August, 12pm-6pm at Creative Kids Centre, Unit 4 Sovereign Centre, Bournemouth 🎭

Ps don’t forget we become Honeycombe Arts on 1st September!
