To our amazing Bishop Aldhelm’s families, ❤️
Another school year over… how did we get here so quickly?
What a truly special year it has been. Together we’ve celebrated incredible achievements, sporting successes, memorable trips, wonderful opportunities and so many moments of learning, laughter and growth.
We’re especially proud of our fantastic Ofsted report, which beautifully recognised the caring, inclusive and joyful school community that makes Bishop Aldhelm’s such a special place to learn and belong.
To our amazing Year 6 children – good luck as you begin your next adventure. We are so proud of each and every one of you, and you will be greatly missed.
We can’t wait to welcome our new Reception families into the Bishop Aldhelm’s family this September.

Finally, thank you to our wonderful families, dedicated staff and incredible PSA for your continued support throughout the year. Together, you make our school what it is.
Have a safe, happy and relaxing summer holiday, and we’ll see you all when we return on Monday 7th September. ☀️💚

Camp vibes without leaving the school grounds! 🏕️✨

Our Year 4 children had an absolute blast during their overnight stay at Bishop Camp right here at school. After an incredibly exciting time packed with high-energy fun with South Coast Adventures Ltd, sleeping over at school was the next ultimate adventure!
Events like this are brilliant for building independence, self-confidence and lifelong memories with friends. A huge well done to our resilient Year 4s! ❤️

🏹 Adventure Day at Bishop Aldhelm's! 🧗

We were absolutely delighted to welcome South Coast Adventures Ltd to the school for an action-packed day of rock climbing, archery, and caving.
Our children showed incredible bravery, conquered heights and unlocked some fantastic new skills, including a brilliant bullseye shot! 🎯👀 Beyond the immense fun, it was a wonderful opportunity for personal development, building confidence, and working as a team.
Thank you to the SCA team for giving our children a day filled with laughter, resilience, and unforgettable memories. 🌟

📚 “The teaching of early reading and phonics is of high quality and firmly embedded.”

Developing confident readers is one of our highest priorities. We are delighted that Ofsted recognised the strength of our early reading and phonics provision, giving children the foundations they need for future success across the curriculum.

What an incredible Dream Jobs Day we had! 🚀

Our school was buzzing with big ambitions as the children explored a whole world of future possibilities. From engineering to entrepreneurship, the children practiced their listening and curiosity skills, asking our guests some brilliantly thoughtful questions.

A huge thank you to all of our amazing community volunteers who generously gave up their time to inspire the next generation. You've helped our children see that with hard work and determination, their biggest dreams really can become a reality.

The day was filled with excitement, and the best feedback of all came from the children themselves: "Can we do this every day?"
Thank you to everyone who made such a memorable and successful day possible. You have sparked so much joy and ambition across the school! ✨

Our Preschool children have been making some serious noise and a lot of progress! 🥁🎵

They’ve been exploring different sounds and rhythms with the percussion instruments. Music sessions like this are a fantastic, fun way for our youngest children to build their confidence, practice listening skills, and develop their coordination.🎵 👏 ✨
